Reckon that bike will monster it next year once it gets up to speed. Good choice.

Well at least Eugene is there on a good bike with hopefully some factory support from Ducati. Shame the team couldn't run Fores alongside him. The Honda BSB ride is not going to do his career any favours.

The more people who ask for the tash to go the the more chance there is of it staying unfortunately. Certainly 11th hour deal, Aprillia wanted to keep him but that meant Moto America or Asia. He had a couple of options in Moto E as well. I don't know the level of factory support, but I'm guessing they'll be throwing the kitchen sink at the bike to get some sort of success.

With Eugene's relationship with the Gigster, I feel there will be some backdoor action. If the package is close to the factory bikes, I'd expect Eugene to beat Chas over the year.

Chaz has clearly been reading a forum or two given his recent comments.
Re Bautista
“If he does not come and wipe the floor with us then we are obviously all doing something OK here. We are not all quite as shit as some people think we are.”

To be fair, all this talk I have seen about Rea being able to go to MotoGP and beat Cal is laughable. Winning in WSB is equal to getting into the top ten in MotoGP. I've no doubt Rea is too good for WSB but if he went to MotoGP on the best bike he would be top ten (in the final standings) at best across the next few years. If you put Cal on that Kawasaki he would beat Rea more often than not. If you put them both on Cal's Honda, Cal would wipe the floor with him most weekends. Chas would struggle to be top ten in a race on the MotoGP factory Ducati. Put Laverty on that Kawasaki and he would take wins off of Rea. If the Duke is as good or close to the Kawasaki, I can see Rea winning far less races in 2019.

The Kawasaki is still the bike to be on. I don't know for sure but my guess is that Eugene will be testing parts for the full factory team in race situations.

Kawasaki seem to be going for it generally. Now making 125s which I think could generate a lot of income for them. They look the part.

Yes, at least they seem to be keeping the faith, even releasing another 600SS bike. Some of the manufacturers have become utterly mundane. I've been looking at a new bike already as to be frank, the VFR is not 'me'. Without going full on mental 1000cc or buying something beyond my means like a Duke, the only modern bikes I liked came from Kawasaki. Hondas are boring guff and Suzukis styling is....er....'gay' for the most part.

I fancy getting a bike early next year. Either a project track bike or something to ride on the roads. Track bike would be a two stroke of a big single. Road bike wise I like the idea of a KTM 390 that's a couple of years old or an old superbike 2001 - 2006 vintage that needs a bit of work. Obviously if I could afford it I'd go for a Honda RC213V-S.

If I was going for a "classic" the SP1 would be my choice, if I had the spare cash, but I think they are only going to increase in value. I like the Ducati 999 too, a bit ahead of its time design-wise and still looks the part today.

I always loved how the racing version of the 999 looked myself. Wasn't a fan of the road bikes front lights.
