I thought Reiterberger has signed for Shaun Muir BMW next year? Yes he has, the headline was just giving the German's moving up to WSB. Ah ok I couldn't get the article to translate on my phone. It mentions Kiyonari on the second Honda which seems a waste.
Only 13 riders confirmed fro next year. Can we get a Motobanzai entry, we'll be guaranteed at least two points per race if we wobble round to the finish.
Fixed driver for the Superbike World Championship in 2019: Kawasaki: Jonathan Rea (GB), Leon Haslam (GB) Kawasaki Puccetti: Tamara Razgatlioglu (TR) Pedercini Kawasaki: Gabriele Rajora (S) Pata Yamaha: Michael van der Mark (NL), Alex Lowes (GB) GRT Yamaha: Sandro Cortese (D) Aruba.it Ducati: Chaz Davies (GB), Alvaro Bautista (E) Barni Ducati: Michael Ruben Rinaldi (I) SMR BMW: Markus Reiterberger (D), Tom Sykes (GB) Honda: Leon Camier (GB)

Waste of a seat; Kiyo was great 10 years ago in BSB, but apart from a reasonable season on the Buildbase BMW a couple of years ago, what has he done recently? Mind you, the same could be said of Camier. I hope that HRC take next year seriously.

Eugene was in advanced talks until the Japanese involvement started to get strong and Tenkate started to get edged out, I text Norbs a couple of weeks ago with the outcome, he probably thought I was taking the piss when I mentioned Kiyo's name. Seems a waste of a ride to me, Clearly I'm biased towards Eugene, but failing that I would rather have seen a young hungry rider get the break riding alongside an experienced rider like Camier. The 8 hours has played a major part in the decision I would imagine.

It is a strange one to see Kiyo back in the mix. Hopefully the HRC involvement is similar to when Tuxworth run the WSB team from 1994 - 2002. If that is the case then I think Camier will podium in 2019.

Kyionari was 8th in the Japanese Superbike championship, 3rd Honda, beaten by his team mate. Odd. Maybe the others didn't fancy it, Kyionari has experience. You can understand why the Japanese would want one of their own countrymen on it, like Crescent & SMR.

Stupid move. Not sure why the japs almost want to shame themselves by sticking poor performers on prime rides. Kiyo checked out of racing over a decade ago, the fire won't be restoked now.
Japanese racing is now as shit as American racing. They've almost got nothing to offer at top level any more and are taking up a number of rides more deserving riders would have. Nakagami hasn't stepped up to GP level either, he's totally disappointing. As are all the Japanese in the other moto formulae, 0 points between them all.

Let's hope there is some substance to this talk of Ten Kate running a Suzuki team. Eugene is the last rider to win for Suzuki in WSB.
