Cycling is an utterly shit spectator sport even though loads of cunts turn up to watch. I remember going to TDY as they came through my place and it was like hello - goodbye in 10s. What a load of shit. The only reason I went was I had a spot setup for photos.

I was in France a long time ago when the TdF came through town. Every shop was shut for the morning, roads were closed, everything at a stand still. It was only a few km from the start. Whoosh in French, and that was it. My last ride around Europe I was planning to do the Stelvio pass. Giro de fuckin Italiano was as well on the same day. So that scuppered that. Whoooosh in Italian. Useless cunts didnt do the pass as it was snowing, so I got wet elsewhere.
Windsurfing racing is crap to watch from the beach a lot of the time as its cleaner wind further out.
I thought it was funny at the London games when you just put your money into the hat and were given a sport to watch. People had to sit through bow and arrows. There are a lot of good spectator sports though.
I see my old sport of canoe slalom has another concrete ditch with plastic bollards. It looks fucking shit. Pumping the water around guarantees conditions, but it takes a lot of the amongst the hills battle the white water feel out of it. Japan most have loads of rivers, dam controlled for hydro-electric power, which could be developed. Although from my recollection of Japanese canoeists swimming down courses they dont have a long history in the sport.

You have to feel sorry for the Japanese! Every country that has hosted the Olympics have worked hard in the run up, and non more than Japan, but every other country has been rewarded! I just hope Japan gets something out of it rather than this fucking virus putting a dampener on their efforts.
Fuck me that Drone thing was a spectacular bit of mechanical choreography.

Sinden is into the final of the taekwondo later on today. Just watched the SF and it was a good comeback against the Chinese.
In womens kayak, Woods 9th in the heats but not too far off on time. Mens canoeist Burgess looking like a medal chance, 3rd in the heats The semi final and final run are tomorrow.
