I always had it in the back of my mind to do an RGV500 replica, by using the barrels and heads from 2x RGV250 VJ23 and mate it to a custom bottom end/engine box and fitting it into a suitable frame; although I would be far too big for it, an RVF400 chassis springs to mind.

Didn't Hodgy stick a ROC Yamaha on the front row at Mugello one year after Team Roberts gave him a full factory engine and 'A' grade tyres?

No he rode the ROC chassis for WCM in 1995 but after the first few rounds, Roberts sorted the team a full factory bike to assist with Dunlop tyre testing for the remainder of the season. He put the factory bike on the front row in qualifying. Pretty sure he rode the Harris 500 Yamaha in 1994 towards the end of the season after giving up on his kitted RS125.

Jerry at Earnshaws has an ex Rainey YZR500 as part of his collection. I asked him if I could have a go but he told me to fuck off...Didnt help the fact that he's seen me ride already. I would have probably hi-sided myself in to next week at the first turn anyway

The bike has corona virus. Hold fire on those fantasy purchases. Prices could crash.

That Mito is probably worth the asking price. The only problem is you'll have to treat it like a baby as parts in good condition are gold dust. Drop it and despair.
