£7.5K for a bike that's done over 18,000 miles!
Have you seen the other bikes that they have for sales;
TZR25RS: £7.6K - 7,800 miles 2x FZR250RR for £4.2K - 9,500 miles GPZ900R for £3.3K - 30,000 miles RVF400 for £7.4K - 14,000 miles OWO1 for £20K - 450 miles
I know that they're classics in some peoples eyes, but that is ridiculous money.

I hadnt Neil, I've just had a look. Those TZR's are beautiful. I like that baby FZR250 too. They are pricey but I can see why some of them are going for that money. 7.4k for an NC35 though - thats bloody steep!

20K for an OW01 doesn't seem so bad.... Hence I used the title of Fantasy ebay My first bike after passing my direct access was a '96 (i think) RGV. I sold it for £1500 with just 4k miles on it. Makes me sick. I also offloaded a very tidy Harada rep RS250 with 7k miles for £2400. That now makes me want to cry.

I think the 250 Aprilia is one of the best looking bikes ever built. Even looking at them nearly 20 years after they came out they still cut the mustard looking at it from any angle. I had a test ride on one once, a bit tricky around town compared to 4-strokes but once on the open road a different story.

I think the 250 Aprilia is one of the best looking bikes ever built. Even looking at them nearly 20 years after they came out they still cut the mustard looking at it from any angle. I had a test ride on one once, a bit tricky around town compared to 4-strokes but once on the open road a different story. One of the bikes I truly lusted after, as have many I assume. Its been so long since I rode a 250 I feel out of touch of what they are capable of. I always used to think nothing would stop or go around corners better, but the rsv4 has kind of blown that out of the water. I can definitely carry more corner speed and lean than I could on the 250. Something else which that is happened is I've moved to one finger braking. It wasnt a conscious thing, I didnt plan to try or start doing it, its just happened naturally. The brakes really are incredible, the strongest point of the bike in my view (not that I've ridden other modern litre bikes to compare it with). I'm not saying that a good 250 will not run rings around bigger bikes with the right person on it, but this is just my personal experience. Maybe I'm just a better rider now and its just a time thing. And I've gone right off topic here so I'll shut up now. Paul g - if you want to slap me down for talking nonsense please do

I want to see a modern road going 2-stroke 500 V4. From everything that I've read, the technology is available with regards direct injection and it appears to be cleaner or on par with a 4-stroke; or I could just spunk £115k on a Suter MMX 500 and never eat again.

Impossible for me to comprehend what a 180bhp 2 stroke road bike would feel like. Does that Suter have traction control?

I don't think so; apparently it has a wide spread of power compared to older 500 2-strokes... but I would still like TC ;-)

I'd have the TC turned up to 11

Suter 500 on a dyno. If I were to describe the noise in one word, I would use "moist";

How could I have forgotten my favourite motorcycle of all time. Ever since I first read about Mike Tryphonos' prototype back in '93, which used a Z650 engine from the '80s, I've wanted one; www.tryphonos.com/With the latest GSX-R750 engine, this could be the perfect bike*; www.tryphonos.com/development.php*DISCLAIMER: Subject to a test ride!
