Remember how a few months ago the Dunkirk spirit was going to get us through Brexit? Well clearly Dunkirk didn't have a Tesco to strip of all household essentials and tinned fucking tomatoes.
We are utterly fucked. At the end of this crisis (if there is a fucking end) we will be leaving the EU with all the social and economic turmoil that comes with it. Life in the UK is unlikely to recover in any of our lifetimes and we have cunted it for our kids.

After the government's announcement last evening I've read comments from people saying its crazy, its only the flu, swine flu was far worse. Well its is a crazy situation, its not the flu, and swine flu wasn't as bad as this. They intend to carry on as usual with a stiff upper lip lets keep calm and carry on as we are type attitude. They seem to think that attitude is ok as they aren't in the high risk age group for dying. Its hasn't sunk in that they could get the virus, not know for several days as its incubating but could pass it on to their elderly parents. I'm not a fan of anonymous reports, but if a doctor did whistleblow then it could be frowned on by their manager and affect their career. Only the old die? Read this. The bottom line is if a younger person does get it and needs hospital treatment, they might not receive the intensive care treatment they require to recover. news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-nhs-doctor-warns-we-are-already-at-breaking-point-11958542

May buy a paintball gun to shoot people in the face if needed. My mate has a shotgun licence is going full country bunker mode to defend his castle. Been buying shotgun shells etc. I guess I'll drive to his house in my black V8 past the apocalyptic hordes wearing leather chaps.

140,000 lost their jobs in Ireland yesterday apparently.
My mate in Dublin has a mate who tested positive after initially testing negative despite showing symptoms.
Two observations there. The test isn't 100% reliable and how the fuck does Ireland have enough tests to retest cunts when we've barely got one between the lot of us?

I saw a virologist on TV this morning who said the test isn't 100% reliable, the UK hasn't the capacity to test larger numbers at the moment, not enough testing centres (although that will change when they knock the BAU stuff on the head). Its not 100% reliable as the virus lives in the lungs and they only swab the nose and throat, where it might not be present. They dont want to test people, send them away saying all ok when potentially it isnt. They are working on a blood test, rather than swab.

I've just kept my job despite mass redundancies being made. But I've lost proper sick pay and four days holiday. I now only get SSP but I did get a small pay rise. Hopefully we can collectively get this virus under control before too many others either die or lose their livelihoods.
If I'm honest, I can think of at least half of our workforce who would have already self isolated had we still been in receipt of full sick pay. A few of them used to use sick pay as a further month or two of holiday entitlement every year and think nothing of doing so and the burden it placed on the rest of us. Two of them were right cunts and usually used almost four months ever year. Their faces when they were not retained was priceless. They actually used words like hard done by and and the hard work they did etc.
Similar attitude to those who are hoarding right now. selfish.

I can never understand that attitude to work. My ex-wife was like that. Would phone in sick for a badly petted lip.

I worked from home today for the first time ever....it’s not the same...but in all probability I’ll have to keep doing it for the foreseeable future. Me and some colleagues have a WhatsApp group that we setup for the 6Nations, it’s providing good craic now that we are all mostly working from home.

The government are announcing now new measures, suspending business rates, cash grants for small companies, loans etc. All this to start next week once they get all the backroom stuff sorted. Sounds like its going to be too late for a lot of people.

We've all to work from home tomorrow to test the resilience of the IT system.
In reality, I don't expect to be back in the office for months. I'm one of the lucky ones as my job isn't at risk (so far) but I really feel for poor cunts in the leisure industry, particularly those on zero hour contracts, who will be absolutely fucked by this.

If everyone buys the new iPhone 19 or whatever the fuck number it's up to now, I'm sure all this ecological shit will seem less important.

It's nature's way of punishing us for buying Iphones and the like.
The utter headhoncho at work sent an email out telling us EVERYONE apart from non-essentials like security could have until Monday off and see where we were and immediately cunt section managers tried to tell everyone it didn't mean that and they had to be in. Union immediately got involved and cunt managers were defeated. Why try and play war hero at a time like this? We're civil service and don't even make any money anyway and demand for what we do supply will drop off anyway with all this. Utterly nothing to be gained from people being in and yet these cunts wanted staff in.
Went out to get the parents some food and they'll have to do with whatever I could find them. Good job they don't fancy eating bogroll though.

There is one benefit of this stuff and the roads were quieter than normal and I got to ride at 125mph+ speeds like a cunt for a bit. That's got to be worth the world wide chaos? Right?

The only statistic rising faster than the number of infected patients in Spain is the number of job losses.
It's only a matter of time until landlards start evictions of non-payers and banks start repos.
