Surely the government will step in to stop landlord cuntery? A socialist alliance in government, so you'd think so. But the opposition and right wing support here is powerful, especially in the finance sectors, so their real power is diluted. But I really don't want to turn this into a politic slanging match as has happened on some WhatsApp groups I'm in.

The government here haven't done anything to help zero hours, self employed, renters. So far, hopefully soon. Its all been those with mortgages & employed, companies. Not having a compulsory lockdown of pub/bars/cinemas etc has been criticised, people saying its so BJ's pals in the insurance companies wont have to pay out on insurance. But yesterday BJ said they have talked to the insurance industries and they have agreed to pay out on claims in this case. Because he is a proven serial liar, can you trust a thing he says? One of many things we need now is trust in the government.

For a second then I thought the person with the forklift was using it as a shopping trolley and buying the lot!

I've just been speaking to my brother in Melbourne and he doesn't think the levels of cuntery are as bad as UK ones.
He reckons the biggest impact will be on things like farming in this country and hopefully a rolling back of the green belt for housing policies as he says they and NZ grow a lot of food between them. Maybe this country needs to actively get farming back as a priority and only build on brown sites.
I see obesity was also listed as a factor in whether this virus fucks you up as well. Hopefully it will impact the UK and some of the fat fridge physique people that seem to be the norm these days will slim down. Fat cunts.
Fell victim to paranoia and bought those bolt cutters and large pry bar though. Just need the paintball gun now. And the V8. Supercharged.

my mates take the piss out of my food cupboard because it resembles 'a primary school harvest festival'. tins of tuna, chickpeas and all kinds of beans. i haven't been shopping for yonks but i know i can manage on the stuff i've got. if i survive, i'm going to be in great shape. unlike these selfish fat cunts who are probably having fucking banquets at home. speaking of which...domino pizza have been in touch A LOT lately.

Farming & fisheries - in the UK we need to start eating foods grown/reared/caught by UK producers more, support our own producers. Buy more seasonal products rather than out of season stuff flown in from far off places. If we dont produce it in the UK, import, from EU in the first instance as they are only over the channel. I'm a bit guilty of that as I like SE Asian food so eat a lot of rice. The only foreign meat I've bought in the past 5 years is Danish bacon off-cut packs you can buy 75p for 500g. Bargain for pasta. The great unwashed haven't cleared that out of Tescos, but sure they will find it soon. I guess all the UK bacon off-cuts usually go to UK ready meals and pies.
Sardines - I usually have a tin of these once a week, cheap at 40p, healthy oily fish, but now you cant buy them in the shop as the UK has suddenly decided to clear the shelves. I wonder how much will get thrown away when all this is over. It may be that people like it and start buying more. Most of the pilchard/sardine/herring we catch is exported. Go to a French supermarket and the majority of wine is French. Go to a UK supermarket and the beer isn't all UKs in the same manner.

Today I'll be having turkey, thigh joint. I dont even have turkey at Christmas. It was the only meat left at Tescos when I shopped a couple of days ago.

UK renters protected from eviction. Something I suppose.
Amazing how many people have a veneer of wealth though. I get paid fuck all but don't spend much and we've probably got 30-40k in personal and joint savings. No 19 plate German car or big house though. But yet some people at work are shitting it as everything is on credit and they actually don't have even a month's wage in savings. Won't have that new merc soon either.
Used car market will probably boom.

I’m eating healthier now that I’m working from home, I had to start eating more fibre anyway (had a colonoscopy last week as an advisory after my biennial medical.....men of a certain age and all that), I’d been getting constipated of late, too often, and turns out I’ve got diverticulosis, which a lot of us have but don’t know it.
Doc told me to up the fibre so I’m eating avocados daily .....big fibre content which I didn’t realise....and more fruit (my veg intake has always been ok)...I’ve seen the difference already..
It’s funny, you think you’re eating enough but in reality I wasn’t.
the prep for the colonoscopy was bloody awful though.....super strong diahoretics the day before and on the morning of the procedure....until I ended up pissing clear water out of my arse!....which is the desired result. The procedure itself was nothing. Glad I did it though, peace of mind and all that.
Anyway, sorry for the thread topic deviation!!!....it’s good to share!!
