The vaccine saved lots of lives. Mostly older people, people with other illnesses. Then there is long covid. A lot of younger people died as well. Having a jab cut down the risk of serious illness. So that worked. Far more people died of covid than any side affect.
Where it didnt perform as well as hoped was stopping people being infected and passing it on.
I'm not surprised that a man made vaccine isnt as good at creating immunity, than the actual virus itself (if you survived).
Where has this study come from anyway? I'm not saying what is in the picture is wrong, but the trouble with things these days its easy to fake crap.

A lot of COVID-19 deniers are saying that it was always going to go this way, regardless of if a vaccine had been developed or not; the virus was never that severe, it only affected the old or very young, only those with a compromised immune system died (e.g. chemotherapy treatment), that person only died because of an underlying condition etc. with no understanding of how viruses work. These people, like my brother and sister-in-law (COVID deniers, anti-COVID vaxxers, government conspiracy theorists) were lucky that the most dominant strain over the past year or so, Omicron, has also been a "weaker" variant. They had COVID late last year and were in bed for 2 weeks solid with proper, full on flu "like" symptoms; sweats, chills, aching joints, sever headaches, blocked sinuses, the works. Their energy levels only returned to normal after about 2 months. Me, I'm fully vaccinated and I've had COVID-19 twice; 2 - 3 days of feeling shit followed by being tired for a few weeks. This is all anecdotal and should not be held up as evidence that vaccines do or do not work! Nor should the stories of any "mate", or "neighbour", or random "scientist" on YouTube be taken seriously over an above a qualified virologist who has actively studied this particular virus! philthewindsurfer FYI, vaccines have never stopped you catching a virus or passing it on, but they do, as you say, cut down on the severity of the symptoms; immune response kills the vast majority virus before it has a chance to replicate in greater numbers. The upside of this is that there are fewer virus cells to pass onto someone else and if their immune response is able to cope, either through vaccination or previous infection, then there is even less virus cells to kill off in the first place! The myth that a vaccine is supposed to stop you from passing on a virus is one that is perpetuated the anti-vaxxers as justification not to take it. |

Random News Host Maddow was the most popular primetime news show in the US until recently, I say was, until viewers probably started waking up to the MSM bs. They weren't misinformed (if they were they were never corrected/corrected it nor was it flagged as misinformation....strange that), but they were just pushing the vax at all costs narrative for their paymasters.. It's not obvious though! |

And lets not forget Donald 'we should look at injecting bleach' Trump. Listening to what politicians say these days is taking more effort than it used to as some are blatantly lying. News channels the same. They really stepped it up in 2016 in the run up to Brexit the referendum. They have seen they can get away with it and continue. Those clips of Biden and the other news channel are misleading, whether deliberately or their misunderstanding the information. I suppose they should be taken down (the clips not the people from a knolly hill). The extreme injecting chips and hospitals are empty videos were fair game. Hardly in the same league though. Next time something happens where those in charge are advising us to do something they are going to have a harder job. |
