It seems just now that Covid is ripping through us all but can everyone expect reinfection in, say, 3-6 months? Is that an acceptable version of living with it? If mask wearing extended this period to 6-12 months would it be an acceptable sacrifice? It affects everyone differently. Some folk have no symptoms, some folk seem immune, some folk end up in hospital. Surely a bit of cloth over your mouth isn't too much to ask until there is more evidence on infection patterns? Given that the tendency is for the virus to become less aggressive and re-infections to be less damaging, yes, I do think that we are getting close to an acceptable version (if we aren't already there). Wearing masks for another 6 or 12 months only postpones the effect you are describing. All illnesses affect different people to varying degrees and we can't go on catering for the worst case scenario "just in case" for ever until it is erradicated. I think England has gone too far letting people on the tube and in hospitals etc. wander around sneezing on each other with total disregard. But I think that a progressive relaxing of the rules here in Spain would be appropriate. I'd like to see mask wearing relaxed in offices and other more open large indoor spaces, but would be quite happy for it to remain on public transport, health care venues, food serving venues etc. Come to think of it, isn't it odd that people who prepare and serve food have to cover their hair but not their nose and mouth? Thay should have to wear a mask all the time, but not for Covid, just for common decency. I rememer a greasy spoon in Gloucester bus station where the guy cooking on the grill would always have a roll-up hanging out of his mouth. A bit of fag ash in your bacon sarnie was a common occurrence. Now that's health and safety for you!

They are still strict in UK Hospitals. My Mum had to have an operation last week and my sister is the only "named person" allowed to visit, and she must be masked.

Hospitals were well strict. About six weeks ago, only the injured or relatives of nearly dyings could get into A&E. Other wards had 1 hour visiting slots only.

Well at least if you're English you can now do whatever you fucking want with covid. Go spread it around your local supermarket legally if you feel that way inclined. Rub it on Model Engineer and the embroidery magazines to kill some old cunts.
Look at those poor chinese cunts still pursuing ZERO COVID. Locked in indefinitely in Shanghai now. No excercise. Kids taken from parents if they get covid. Protesting to actually get some food. Shanghai now has more covid in the last few weeks than the previous 2 years. Oh well, at least they can sing protests songs from their balconies whilst government drones with speakers tell them to get back inside.

That CNN Doctor has flip-flopped more than Fauci….she was anti-mask for children then did a u-turn to keep pushing the preferred narrative…

My brother is Australia has now got covid after harping on about how good his government's rules were at preventing covid and the UK was doing it all wrong.
Seems inevitable. Anyway, he's just got what I had with the hot/cold/bit of weakness and headaches. Not sure if they still have the isolation rules over there. Probably.

The currently available Covid-19 vaccines were made to protect against the original strain of the virus. Omicron is significantly different, and therefore, vaccines have lost some of their effectiveness. Israel and the US are among the governments that have suggested fourth vaccine shots for certain people who are at high risk of severe illness, like those who are older.Omicron is different but thankfully not so dangerous. The Chinese approach seems wrong as I dont think the World will ever get rid of covid. We need an enhanced vaccine to combat the latest versions. I'm glad I dont live in a dictatorship like China or Russia.

Or maybe we don't need a vaccine at all now given the reduced problem?

50 fines now handed out for Covid breaches in Downing St. FIFTY AND THEY'RE NOT EVEN FINISHED!
Anyone remember BlowJob assuring the HoC that no rules had been broken?
Anyone else remember when government ministers had integrity and misleading parliament was a resigning matter?

Fines announced when they're all on recess; pure coincidence. Not planned at all.

BlowJob and Sunak fined.
Lucky for the chancellor that he's a tax dodging cunt. Means that he should have the spare cash for his fine. How lucky we are to be governed by such clever people.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61083402BJ is a fuckin disgrace. I was wondering why Sunak appeared so open about his tax and financial interests recently, asking to be investigated by the relevant government body. Trying to get some brownie points knowing this was coming. His wife Akshata Murty has come in for some stick, but she has now said she will pay UK income tax on her Indian earnings, even though she wasnt doing anything illegal. I assume this is in addition to tax paid to Indian coffers. TBH I had no issue with her paying Indian tax on Indian earnings, as she paid £30,000 PA to UK, pays income tax on her UK earnings. She holds an Indian passport, she isnt British. I would expect tax to be paid to the UK coffers from people living outside the UK owning companies like Costa Coffee, MacDonalds operating in the UK. I wonder if Tories like JRM (or any other MPs) will follow suit, and pay tax on all their income held in tax free havens? Bet they fucking wont.
