All businesses except supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations and home delivered food establishments are closed for me as of today. Oh, and tobaccanists (nice touch that one considering the breathing difficulties sufferers face).
Luckily Amazon doesn't seem to be affected yet so I can still get those last few sex toys I need to see through the month.

Amazon should be shut as well. Because they are cunts. Trying not to use Amazon unless I can't get stuff elsewhere.
Russia shut it's borders ages ago and has a handful of cases, we are still open borders and even Italy took the decision to shut up shop on it's own, why no EU leadership on this issue? Where are all the EU leader gobshites now something really serious is a problem? Loads of people could die but at least nobody got offended!

Testing methods and vaccines will be developed faster if countries share information freely with each other. Its not down to EU leaders to manage individual countries healthcare. Ursula von der Leyen was outspoken about Trump's travel ban & CZ closing its borders, but it wasn't widely reported as we have left the EU. Do you think Russia will provide accurate information?

I can't sit around doing fuck all. Yesterday I was tidying up the balcony so that we can at least sit outside while the weather is good. I was cutting up some long bits of metal so that they'd fit in the bin and I snapped my last hacksaw blade. Now I can't get another to carry on with other stuff round the house while I'm pretty much confined here unless I order some from Amazon. I've got to say that it is pretty tempting to take the bike out and take advantage of the deserted roads....

There is no accurate information. Only high risk potential cases are being tested here. The chances are that many more people have got it than we know of. At least that means that the mortality rate is really much lower than first thought. In the US there won't be reliable figures either because everyone will shit themselves at the cost of the test or care needed if positive.

Well bad news from a fit bird doesn't seem so grim I guess. It looks like its going to be an annual event so we need to get it so as not to get it. I think. I think one thing is for certain, the level of support the government is offering* businesses wont be repeated often. If they are aiming for 60% of people getting it this time (excluding OAPs) they are hoping the 'herding immunity' stops an outbreak next year. By then, a vaccine to go with seasonal flu will have been developed. Covid-19.2 might be an issue though. *A relative runs a bouncy castle business and bookings are down, he employees a few people as well. He asked his bank's business advisor about this and they said they are still waiting to hear. Words are cheap with this government.

I wonder if petrol madness will start? Then again if people aren't supposed to be going anywhere is there any point?
Going to fill the bike up just in case.

I wonder if petrol madness will start? Of course it will. Society's nimrods will see to that. Basically it'll be Resident Evil with morons replacing zombies.

It's illegal to go out except for food or medicine now. 2 weeks of confinement awaits....

Here the hand-wringers want everyone to stay home. I was responding to them on Facebook from the pub... Granted there were not many people there with me, could either be the virus, the fact that it is snowing like hell today, or both.
