As my contract is up next week I went online to cancel it as I wanted to keep the phone and do a sim only deal again like I had previously before this contract. Luckily I checked out what they were offering as an upgrade. Got unlimited everything on a 24 month contract for £20. Plus it is only £10 for the first six months. Giffgaff deal was £25 for the same service but obviously that was a rolling monthly deal. Not too fussed about it being over 24 months as I have broken those contracts before without much hassle.

Get dashcams fellas. Mine, in my lads car has just paid for itself. He was sat stationary 30 metres behind a bin lorry that reversed into his motor. When I called to get the process started, my answer to the question of 'any witnesses' saw us move immediately onto the next question.
I thought I had turned the mike off. There's no doubt he's my son.

Dragging up an old thread.
Got a 3D printer just before Christmas. Really good fun an really satisfying when you get it right. Pretty frustating aslo! Takes time. Steep learnig curve as there a tons of different filamenst and settings. Did spend a lot of time beforehand reading up and also leaning to draw in Fusion 360.
Not intrested in figures etc, but actual usefull parts. Made some cover that were broken on the taps, even the wife was impressed. New handle for the toaster, a vacum servo take off for my Mini. Working on some clips to attach battery pack to my snowboard boots (have heated soles)

3D printers are very useful. I'd definitely get one in the future.

I know it's not very popular but I have developed a bit of a knife/axe obsession. I haven't acted on it yet as I'm hoping that it will blow over, but I feel that 2021 could see me making an impulse purchase that leads to the whittling/chopping up of household furniture and subsequent divorce.

Funny you should mention that but a couple of miles down the road from me is an air gun shop. They also stock knives. I've not been in there yet but I drive past it almost every time I leave my flat in my car. I've not used my air rifle in a couple of years now but I am low on pellets. Tempted to pop in there but don't fancy my chances of being able to leave without buying some totally unnecessary big fucking knife.

I remember throwing knives in my youth. I guess they don't exist anymore? Amazing how in films its always blade in between the shoulder blades.

bought a new hard drive and then filled it full of 110gb of retro shit in a format like this
Emulation has come on in leaps and bounds, you can run just about any old arcade game on pc now even the stuff they couldn't break copy protection on years ago.
Even Ridge Racer, Sega Rally and the like flawlessly

I used to play drums in a work band, we practiced fairly regularly but only ever did a couple of gigs a year at the Office. Drums aren’t the most neighbour friendly instrument to play indoors, so I’m thinking about buying my next favourite instrument, the bass guitar. I’ve seen a guitar, amp, headphone combo for under €300..

I’ve seen a guitar, amp, headphone combo for under €300.. I played the bass in a Hard Rock/Metal covers band about 30 years ago; AC/DC, The Cult, Metallica, Motorhead, Nuclear Attack, The Strangers, Iron Maiden etc. I started off as the singer, but we also needed a bass player so we borrowed the kit and the lead guitarist showed me what to play using tablature. We had to get another singer, because I couldn't do two things at once. I eventually bought an Avon jazz bass, fitted it heavy gauge strings, bought a distortion peddle, and had a few lessons. We practiced for about 6 months, had our first gig lined up at our local pub (The Nags Head in Malvern, if anyone knows it) and we even had a band name... Helliconia (this was taken from a trilogy of books by Sci-Fi author called Brian Aldiss)..., then the drummer and the lead guitarist had a falling out and that was that. I've still got the bass. I'm planning on getting it serviced, re-strung and buying an amp like yourself.

I went through a period a few years ago of collecting guitars. Ran out of space in the end. Got a few very nice ones and play them through a 1970 Vox AC30 that I bought down the Barras in 1984. Got an attenuator fitted to the amp so I can crank the valves without blowing the windows out. Sounds fucking awesome. Just wish I could do it justice.

I used to have an 82 jap squier bass. Stupidly sold it.
Bought a cheap brand one about a year ago and defretted it. Sounds pretty funky. I started on bass when I was 14. Used to have proper lessons from this session musician bloke and got quite good. I could slap the fuck out of it. This was when level 42 was in.

I have some old playable stuff like the original Golden Axe and streets of rage, but it would be ace to get some of the proper arcade beat/shoot em up strollers like Trojan, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden and Xaind Slena to name but a few I Used to love hitting the arcade with 3 friends and pouring money into Gauntlet, "Wizard needs food badly" etc.

That coin ops thing is mega-easy Spents. Just go to Arcadepunks.com, sign up and go to the frontends download section. Coinops standalone pack and the arcade pack are all you need. All the wizard is about to die you need as well.
Cheated on Kung Fu Master to see what happened when you beat it.... You just start again.
