It has to be done by the end of this year. He turns 16 in the first week of January. Due to lack of time I built my shed and cracked straight on with the bike. It needs proper benches and cupboards building but that will have to wait for now. Nice having a shed to work in again though.  |

Seems we're all resurrecting something... or trying to...
I'm back to my CBR150 NSR150SP mash up that I started building in Thailand.
What I really mean is that I finally bought a CBR125 frame and log book to replace the Thai CBR150 frame that they wouldn't let me bring into Spain. I haven't actually put any of the parts together yet. I'll start a thread if I ever get round to it.

Good work Clipper. Today I received some signed stickers that would usually adorn a factory aprilia in WSB. Big thank you to Mr Vazy for arranging this. Next payday I will get some new tyres fitted to the wheels along with new bearings. This should finally see a rolling chassis. Then I can concentrate on the engine.

Laverty number 50 for the front of the bike plus a few other sponsor and aprilia stickers. I'm thinking of going with a race fairing and an endurance style single offset headlight. Got next week off work to work on the bike.

Been a very busy week. Had to do some work on the car on Monday. Spent Tuesday, Wednesday and today working on the aprilia. Had a disaster fitting the tyres. Long story short, I decided to fit them myself and scratched the fuck out of the wheels. When I eventually got the tyres on, I spent the next day repairing the damage and repainting. Rear wheel had a reaction and I had to strip the whole rim again and repaint. Done lots of fiddly little bits but finally I have a rolling chassis. Had to modify the fork bottoms slightly also but all good now. Going to take the subframe, engine cradle and side stand to a powder coaters. Fed up with painting for a bit and those areas need a super tough finish or they will soon look awful.  |

Obviously I will rigorously test it before I hand it over but not really. Soon as it is done I will get a new project for myself.

No photos taken as I am way too filthy to touch my phone. Been at it all weekend (except to watch boxing and the racing) and completed engine rebuild and got the subframe and engine cradle painted. Few other bits done also. Will take a few pics next weekend when I have cleaned up my shed and fitted the engine.

Got up early today and fitted engine, subframe and new rear brake master cylinder. Few scratches as it is all a tight fit but nothing too drastic. See if you can spot the titanium bolts

Just fitted the throttle housing I ordered. £45 and it doesn't even have the kill switch fitted any more. Just blanked off with a plate. Did a service on the carb. The slider is plastic! What the fuck is that all about? I will fit a brand new 'racing carb' at some point after junior has gotten used to it.
