Not a bad shout. It is so flimsy though. You can deform it with ease.

Few things done tonight. Throttle cables run, clutch cable and loom fitted. Waiting on some deliveries. Should have brakes finished by next weekend.

Standard they are probably 7.5 BHP. This will have a full arrow exhaust and a 70cc kit so will be good for about 15 BHP. I could probably get it to 18 BHP with a bigger carb and some light porting work. But I doubt I'll bother. Just try to keep it well maintained and safe. It will be sold when he is 17 to get his first car.
Got a bit more done today before I go to work. Starting to come together now.

Few bits done over the past week. Started working on tank whilst I'm waiting on payday to order more parts.

Going to do the tank and seat unit white to match this fairing I found on eBay.
Been a mad end to the week. On Thursday night/Friday morning, I saw a seagull wandering around our yard at work. I went over to see if it was ok but it just slowly waddled off and hid in the bushes. Told work colleagues on morning shift to look out for it. Went back into work last night and after I had finished doing my work, I went to have a look around for the seagull. Found it in distress behind the back of the building. Put him/her into my car passenger footwell and slowly drove home leaving work early. Named him/her George. Put him/her in a box in our bedroom and took the cats upstairs into the attic bedroom. Waited until 09:00 and took it round the corner to the wildlife sanctuary. Apparently George has eaten something bad and got Botulism. They think he/her will be ok in a few days though. Going to go see on Monday before I go to work. He/she did a little shit in my car as well. For a big bird they weigh literally nothing.

Ordered up a ton of parts this morning. Photos when it all arrives. Only the fairing, front mudguard and a radiator are left to buy barring some odds and sods. Will get them next month. Went for a Giannelli full system over the Arrow in the end. There is little between them for quality and I preferred the silencer on the Giannelli. Both front pipes are mild steel which will rot before my eyes even with a good coating of paint. The deciding factor was the price. £150 for the Giannelli and £190 for the Arrow. Next week I turn 46 and I have a few days off of work to get stuff done on the aprilia.

I don't feel it lol. Instead of going out tonight I will be in the shed bleeding the brakes and routing more wires.

Had a disaster today. Well not really, more of a setback. Plan was to recover the seat and get the tank and tail piece prepared and in primer. Seat recovering was hampered by my staple gun not being up to the job. Went out to get something more up to the task but it would require me to spend about £35 for something better than I already have. Decided to give it to an upholsterer and get it done by a professional. It is a very awkward seat to do and I'd rather pay to have it done than buy a staple gun I won't use. Done plenty of mx seats in my time and this was far more difficult. Decided to work on tank but after covering my shed and contents in paint last time, I'm going to wait until tomorrow when the weather is dry and less windy so I can take the bike outside to avoid the dust and paint debris. Took me fucking ages to tidy up last time and I have lots of sanding and prep to do. Fixed the tank petrol cap locating captive nuts with a heat gun and araldite. Will let that dry over night. Previous owner had tried to pry the old tank filler cap off with a screw driver. It is a plastic tank. Had to repair that damage also. Got new battery on and everything appears to work so far.

I expect some kneedown round a local roundabout pics when finished. Something akin to a Trevor Franklin picture from 1996.
