So Marini to HRC seems like a done deal. Not a bad choice for both parties IMO. HRC get a rider capable of putting a prvately run bike on pole and on the podium, Marini gets a salary hike and a factory gig with a team with concessions. Everyone's a winner, except it seems DiGiannantonio... how can VR46 not be considering him to replace Marini? Has anyone been proposed for Marinis VR46 seat?........ Interesting decision by Marini, I'm sure the cash will be nice but a lot of work to do on the Honda.

Rory Skinner got the boot then. Kind of inevitable in a world of Fermions and Fabio's.

Well if he's so good why has he not performed in BSB? He got beaten by Lee Jackson and Moto 2 ain't knocking on his door. He showed plenty of promise in the Red Bull Rookies (2015 & 2016), and also in the CEV Jnr WC. After winnning the British Talent Cup and was overlooked for promotion into Moto3 GP; TBH, I think that he was getting too tall for Moto3 anyway and a route into Moto2 would have been a better option. Skinner has proven pedigree on prototype/production machinery; whilst he didn't set the world alight, he impressed the American Racing Team and the MotoGP paddock as a whole with his wild card rides this year. So yes, he does deserve a ride in Moto2 over a 27 year old who has been riding Superbikes in BSB for 8 years! Well, don't I look like a twat!?

Racing maths often goes wrong. Who would have been on Fabio being MotoGP world champ a few years before?
Talk of Miller getting moved from factory seat for 2025 if Acosta is good and he's not.

I read rumours that Miller might lose his seat for next year and that KTM might bring Pol back from the dead. Can't see that happening though.
Also Bastianini has supposedly been informed that his continuation in Lenovo is not guaranteed.
As for Skinner, well, lots of people crying about it on Facebook (now we know where the trolls from Crash forum went), but ultimately he just hasn't performed or, more importantly shown signs of improvement.
In fact the most interesting thing about Skinner for me this year was finding out that his father is called Mike, but has nothing to do with The Streets.
Of greater concern is that he was the winner of the British talent cup a few years back. What does that say about the future for British motorcycling?
Maybe he just had a bad year? struggled with the team maybe? Sadly it looks unlkely he'll get the chance to stay in Moto2.
At least he lasted longer than SDK, he got the boot mid season, and was even on points with Skinner at the time (0).

Dry your eyes mate.....
I never fell for Skinner mania. If you can't win in BSB it's a big ask to make it on the prototype scene.
BSB is in one of those patches in which it is very entertaining but nobody doing it is going anywhere at a world level. Looks like Bradley Ray will also be looking for a ride.

See what you did there, nice. Anyway, back to the Digiannantonio scandal, does anyone think that maybe he will sit out in 2024 and try to do a Dovi? Almost all seats are up for grabs in 2025 so I reckon that some factories who have signed (or have to continue with) underperformers in 2024 will serioulsy think of him for 25. If I was KTM for example, I'd be looking for a way to get Fabio on Miller's bike ASAP. IIRC Morbidelli's signing to Pramac was partly helped by the fact that wanted an Italian back in the team... I think Franky only signed for one year? Digi might be better off leaving the paddock with the memory of hs performance in the last few races rather than going to Moto 2 or Supers (don't think he's had any offers there either anyway).

Now there's talk of DiGi possibly going to VR46 if Aldegeur goes to Repsol Honda....I think he deserves to stay in MGP, it's taken him a while to work out the Ducati but results are results. wrt Morbidelli, must be the luckiest guy in the paddock.

I don't get all the fuss over Aldeguer. Clearly he's a talent, but the results have only been consistently good in recent races (remind you of anyone?).
He was 15th in the championship in 2022, nearly 200 points behind Augusto. This year he has closed the gap for sure, but he is still abouit 150 points off the winner. Just seems odd that he's top of the list to make the jump when Arbolino and Dixon stay in Moto2. But what do I know?
I didn't realise that there was still any doubt about the Repsol ride though, the Spanish press still seem to be assuming that Marini is practically assured.

More rumours about Brivio replacing Puig for 2024... That's got to be one of the longest unconfirmed rumours out there!
Is the Martini announcement linked to this?

Digi needs to go somewhere.
Good start to the weekend with Bags down in 14th. Hopefully he'll finish 14th tomorrow.

Looks like RNF has folded. Team to be bought by a group from NASCAR apparently. Sure that'll end well...

Ciabatti just said on TV that Digiannantonio will be on a Ducati next year.
