In a couple of weeks Glasgow will become an absolute cuntfest as wanky world leaders hit town to save the fucking planet from Finnieston's overpriced bars and restaurants.
The pope can't be fucked coming so there'll be no cunt available to thank the baby Jesus at dinnertime.
Is this just a waste of time? If it is to have any effect then we all need to change our behaviour. Burn less fossil fuel and eat much less meat.
Can you be fucked?

What's the point. China is causing most of the world's problems at the moment but yet we carry on like they don't exist and someone else is to blame. 23 of 25 of the world's most polluted cities are Chinese.
It's like having a diet coke with your double big mac and large fries because it's healthier.

Bang on cue with the China bashing.
Here's the thing. Are we comparing countries without normalising size? Are you really going to compare China's emissions with the UK's when China has 20x the population and 40x the land mass of the UK? Would it surprise you to learn that in per capita terms, China has one of the lowest emissions levels on the planet?
Yes they are building more fossil fuel generation but they are also building a lot of renewables. The hope is that they can be persuaded to scale down the coal fired plants and increase greener options but they are building infrastructure in the same way that we once did.
The real problem is America. It only makes up 5% of the world's population but consumes 25% of its resources. With China, you only need to persuade the government but America has an entire population that thinks it has a god given right to lashings of cheap gasoline and barrels of pork. How the fuck do you get through to them, particularly when half of them are clearly of below average intelligence?

Americans are full of bluster. They have done what they are told as much as anyone else. They just post memes of how hard it will be to take their guns away.
I agree that they are fat bastards overconsumption is a problem. Meat is massively over done. Red meat in particular

How the fuck do you get through to them, particularly when half of them are clearly of below average intelligence? Correct. I read there are 2 ways of allocating carbon footprint/emissions to countries. Emissions where it was made and emissions where it is used. In the UK, we dont manufacture that much really, not as much as we used to 40 years ago. So if China makes the stuff I use, like my laptop, do you count the emissions China released making it as China's or UK's? Its no good bashing China as they make shit loads of stuff exported and used elsewhere. Lets have the UK making laptops and the rest of the things we buy (UK is a leader in chip design), cuts down on shipping it from China. Ah, cant do that as its costs too much.

COP26? Are all these world leaders going to travel by boat as Wednesday did across the Atlantic? Nah, they will all fly, with their staff. Even BJ from Westminster. Useless fucker. There has been so much remote working from home recently but these twats want a big meeting, on expenses no doubt.

We're one of the main sponsors and there are some opportunities to staff events but one of the conditions is that you use public transport to get in.

You would think the Saudis are warm enough already without things getting hotter. But oil is all they have. The Ozzies still have large amounts of coal they want to burn. The Japanese lost a nuclear power station, do they need fossil fuel to make up the difference? Meanwhile in the UK we have a electric power cable from France out of action because of a fire at the UK end and it might take another 18 months to get it back to full capacity. There is a new link from France to Portsmouth under discussion and a lot of people are protesting about it because of work and disruption. Why does the UK need to import electricity from France? They have nuclear power stations, why dont we? The Chinese pulled out of the deal to build one for us. The CI came under threat from France about being cut off. The new global UK aint going so well.

The import/export cables are a great idea as they allow potential to 'balance' production, particularly important as we increase our dependence on renewables. So if we have excess capacity we can export and if we are under generating we can import. There are interconnector cables between the UK and Ireland and one to Norway under construction. Nuclear energy is extortionate. Always has been. The billions that are being thrown at that would be better spent on energy storage and hydrogen production in my humble opinion.
