I cant recall reading/watching anything about people passing invisible bombs around pubs in the Blitz. I thought they dropped out of the sky. I'll have to watch The World at War again. Reading through his tweets, I agree with somethings he says. There has been really some OTT reporting by the trashy mass tabloid media creating hysteria. Its what they do. They did the same for Brexit, mass immigration by Turks when we cant veto them joining the EU etc etc. As I queued outside the butchers today, I had a chat with someone. Is the response too much? Is enough being done? Its difficult to say. His wife is a nurse and he said they are expecting things to get worse next week at their hospital, its been fairly quite up to now.

Yeah the stories I'm hearing from inside hospitals as that staff, even admin are working extra hours, are knackered and are bricking themselves for what's coming.

There are some heart wrenching stories here in Spain coming out of the hospitals.
I feel really bad for the doctors and nurses, and the families of those that are dying, but, at the risk of sounding heartless, it is an inherent risk of their profession.
What I find worse are the family members who have seen their older members admitted to wards, testing positive and then pretty much losing contact because they are in isolation wards and the health staff just don't have the chance to come out and speak to relatives.
The lucky ones get to say goodbye by phone or Skype. Others don't even know if granny is alive, or where the body is when reality dawns.

Funerals are going to be difficult. Close family only and no wake.
I've been thinking about my whisky collection. If/when I'm struck down with this and it's looking grim, I'm opening every one of the "collectibles" and having a fucking dram from each one, rendering them worthless and giving me some joy in my final days. I'd be utterly gutted however if copious amounts of fine single malt turned out to be a bastarding cure 😒

Got my crossbow today and fuck me does it pack some power. No cunt will take my toilet paper.
Off out to Sherburn cafe tomorrow. Its shut but unless we all stand really close to each other and start licking bikes or something it'll be OK. Just taking my own flask, leave your helmet on.... Take some straws

Fantastic comeback to the above. Maybe twitter isn't so bad after all. I signed up but after reading so much crap on it like Bloom's decided not to go any further.

The world isn't going to stop but it ain't half going to slow down.
It seems that the 'herd' policy has been binned so the new approach is slow the infection rate right down to enable the health sector to cope.
I can't see normality until 2021. Fuck. We need an antibody jab and we need it soon.

I went to Tesco York pharmacy this morning as my bad luck has continued after my self isolating Zwifting has resulted in a nasty sweatrash/ringworm thing where you don't want it. Exercise in a garage...who knew the dangers!
The place was full of utter fuckwits that can't count to 3. They had staff patrolling the payment queues to remove surplus items off cunts that thought 3 cereal boxes really means 6. Funny thing is they were all arguing the toss about why and how instead of just accepting they were a cunt. Some were also moaning about the NHS workers having an hour before general opening....not like they do anything of worth eh.
Pity it's not an IQ related virus.

It’s times like these when we all pull together....erm, oh hang on....Fuck you I want 100 packets of pasta and 250 bog rolls!!..it’s my Human rights!! If these twats just shopped as they normally do there wouldn’t be any supply issues, what’s it going to take to get through to people?...thick as mince.

I'm hoping that when we get to the enforced lockdown stage (end of this week/early next week by my estimation), less people outside will mean more food on the shelves.
Good luck to the already woefully understaffed police forces who'll be expected to deal with that. Ditto the Army who'll likely be called in.
Didn't the D**ly M**l ask for an army of volunteer litter pickers last year? Maybe they should repeat the exercise and create a gammon militia.
Nah, won't happen; most of their readers are in "at risk" groups and they'll be quite happy to continue indulging in their impotent outrage from their suburban fortresses.
OK, are football hooligans still a thing? They're doing nowt for the forseeable future so perhaps Th* S*n could start a campaign.
