"Warren is a bum bandit. Do you understand?! A poof. A fairy. A queer. A queen. Fudgepacker! Uphill gardener! Fruit-picking sodomite!"

Watched "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" on the weekend. Odd film, but enjoyable; tense, uncomfortable at times, plot twists and you get to see Gemma Arterton's tits!

...and you get to see Gemma Arterton's tits! This is precisely the type of in depth, analytical review we need more of here.

I've now watched the feelgood movie, The Iceman. Shame about the ending, it was good fun. I like Micheal Shannon.

I liked him in Boardwalk Empire. I watched The Iceman when it came out. I'd previously watched a few documentaries on him before that. From what I can gather from all the interviews and crime documentaries I have seen, he is consider a bit of a fantasist when it comes to a lot of his stories. But you only really hear that coming from snitches who avoided long sentences by informing on everyone else. So who knows. Definitely not your typical hitman.

I've finally got around to watching Journeyman.
A proper gritty British film.

Well council TV tonight served up a couple of classics that I'd managed never to have seen before.
First up was The Conversation. Look, I was a few double malts in and nodding off in places but despite that I struggled to see what this film had to offer other than another towering performance from the incredible Gene Hackman and a sinister cameo from a young Harrison Ford. It's definitely worth the watch but the ending might leave you somewhat unfulfilled.
Next up was The Damned United. I had a second wind by now and what a treat this film was. If you liked Martin Sheen in the Apocalypse Wing then you'll be utterly absorbed by his transformation into a gruff northern football cunt in this movie. It's my pick of the night by a cuntry mile and I'd happily sit through every glorious second of it again. Only moan, as much as I think Stephen Graham is a tremendous actor, could they not have found an actual Scottish cunt to play Billy Bremner? Blacking up indeed...

Not a great film by any stretch but lovely to see John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd in Neighbors - nearly a 40 year old film and I've only just watched it.

So many films.
Not really into feelgood, but Win Win was a good one.
Boiler Room is a good watch.

Watched a German film called Goodnight Mommy. Bit disturbing unless you hate your mother.
Tried to watch the new Hansel and Gretel but I got bored half way through and listened to an audiobook instead. Get a hacked version of YouTube that runs in background and bobs you uncle. Loads of audio books on there.

Sorry, that is fucking annoying, my absolutely brilliant retort just disappeared. Fuck writing all that again. Last line. The jury’s verdict for The Conversation- rotten tomato 👎

I'm so late to most things.
Just watched No Country For Old Men. Trying to work out how many unnecessary minutes at the end. Otherwise, pretty decent moody stuff.

Trying to work out how many unnecessary minutes at the end. On reflection, maybe they lost a few minutes and just thought 'fuck it, let's be arty and run with what we've got'.

Right, just watched Edge of Darkness on BBC 1 and I'm highly conflicted. It's fundamentally a really good movie. Excellent plot, shocking in places and well directed. BUT, and it's a fucking big BUT, Mel cunting Gibson is a shite actor. He plays the same fucking character in every movie. He's just pish. Not quite pish enough to spoil a really good film but thinking back to The Conversation, Gene Hackman would have been brilliant in this role. Also the ending was unnecessary.
