Bautista raced there last year in MotoGP and finished 8th... new bike though, obviously ;-)

And.....Rea just got a kicking again in Fp2 off Bautista. Chaz is still shite though for whatever reason.
Could be a boring weekend if Bautista gets a clean launch.

Impressed with Eugene so far, 2nd Ducati on a bike he got last minute and is far from fully developed. Having said that, possibly because the V4 was developed from the Motogp bike it needs to be ridden like one and Alvaro & Eugene have more relevant experience than Chas and Rinaldi.

Good point I hadn't thought of that! I pity the fools who by them for trackdays and can't get anywhere near the limit to make them work properly

Yup. I think Rutter in PB (RIP) lapped faster with the cooking V4 than the full-fat version, says everything really.

Isn't PB now part of Motorcycle Mechanic, or similar?

Good to see Shakey in the studio again, he always makes some good points. He said Bautista was just 1 second off his MotoGP qualifying time. Its going to be a huge battle between the Yamahas to see who comes out on top at the end of the year.

A bit more lively than PI. It did look like brake failure for ELav, he didnt need that and the possibility of more Thai hospital food (although I'm sure it is tasty).

Impressive save by Bautista, the lad’s good. The Ducati is fast but where are the rest? I reckon it’s 80% rider. He caught Rae pretty quickly and hounded him trying to get a mistake but looks like he just wanted to race at the front.

It was brake failure, they're 'trying' a new brake system. He doesn't have his crew chief in Thailand, but at least his tyre warmers work this round.
