Diana Ross was hard listening, until she played her new songs. She was way off tune for her classics. It's understandable that she can't hit the notes I mean she's pushing 80 so credit where it's due, but at least try to be in tune.

Robert Plant has the old dude vibe nailed. He's not jumping about trying to pretend he's still in his 20s like the fucking Stones. He still has a great voice but it has changed and his new music reflects that, and when he does chuck in the odd Led Zep tune he adapts it to suit.
Having said that, there's a song on Zeppelin 4 called The Battle of Evermore. Sandy Denny sings on the original and I've never heard him play it live. He played it on Friday with Alison Krauss and it is fucking magnificent. Well worth a listen on the iplayer.

Their voices blend beautifully and the band were uber tight. Loved the new version of When the Levee Breaks. Superb.

I wasn't expecting a lot from 80 year old McCartney but fucking hell, fair play, over 2 and a half hours, Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen, excellent set list, stonking band especially the mental drummer, a virtual John Lennon and nice tribute to George Harrison. By the way, no fucking way does he look 80. Enjoyed every minute.
Also enjoyed Noel Gallagher and his flying birds. Cracking stuff.
Heard that Jack White made a surprise visit. That i would love to have witnessed.

Tried watching The Arctic Monkeys at Reading Festival but their obsessive fans fucking ruined it by singing all the way through all the songs drowning out the band. Creepy cunts.

I cant be arsed going to gigs, even tribute bands, as fuckwits get their phone out to record it all. Crowds singing along is ok if its just 1 chorus at the allotted time. The sound guys could filter out the crowd more in favour of the band's speakers.

That new Bjork 'tune' is utterly fucking brutal. It sounds like she's tripped over the bins.
She's absolutely taking the piss now.

Young Fathers - Glasgow Academy
This was all last minute. My mate bought some tickets on Gumtree and off we fucked. I didn't even know they were playing however they're a band I've wanted to see for a while.
Well, in over 40 years of going to gigs, this is one of the finest live acts I've seen. Genuinely original music underpinned with engaging beats and layered with African influenced vocals. All delivered through an absolutely incendiary live performance.
Seriously, see these cunts before the venues get too big and it's not as good.
10/10, no tits but some serious pecs.

Went to see Metallica in Amsterdam last month….not a fan of stadium concerts but enjoyed it nonetheless. They still make a great noise!…
