Not yet. I keep forgetting about this. I was about to do it last weekend but needed to read up if the deal I was looking at would be ok for the wordpress template. I think it will be fine but I hesitated as they do a deal for wordpress sites. This was a bit more money. I don't think we will need it though but I wanted to check it out first. I'll buy the domain name and stick up a holding page this weekend. I'm pretty sure if the basic package isn't good enough, I can just upgrade it and pay the difference anyway. But I'm sure we won't need it. It's only about £30 difference across the year. To be clear, I wasn't nagging. I don't want you out of pocket. Any ideas about collecting and passing on the contributions? |

I know mate. I figured I'd pay the £10.80 or the £50 (depending on the package for the year) and if anyone wanted to chip in, they could do so. Wait until I've purchased it and go from there. No obligation chaps. Remind me Saturday lol.

Ok, I purchased the domain name motobanzai.com and I also got a years hosting for free. I upgraded to the wordpress server and also got that free for 12 months. Next year we are looking at about £15 for domain name renewal and about £4 per month server hosting. I have uploaded a free wordpress theme to learn how to use it for now. All new to me. The theme I thought we should go with is here: themeforest.net/item/smartmag-responsive-retina-wordpress-magazine/6652608 If we can sort out a fund to purchase that between us I will upload it to our server and start building the site. If anyone on here knows their way around using wordpress, let me know and I will give you the login details. If anyone wants a motobanzai.com email address, let me know and I will sort it.
So far I have spent just £10.80  Bargain!
Other than the $52 that theme will cost, I don't see us having to spend another penny for 12 months.

Starting to get an idea how to use this wordpress. Instead of changing the whole site to that template I'd previously liked, we can upgrade this one for $49. That's a $3 saving! I think I only need a couple of weeks to get my head around this. Start writing the articles chaps. We need video footage also. I've copied a few press releases just to mess with the software for now. Anyone on here got a business then reply with the details and any banners etc and I will get them added. If anyone wants access to the twitter account, PM for login details. Oh and Eddie I got the £10 |

I purchased the upgrade of the current template. Ended up costing me £47.52. Installed it and instead of being a seamless upgrade, I'm having to do it all again and relearn the new layout and features. Bastard!

Thanks. Used it a few times before to pay for things. I think I have a basic layout that works on desktop, tablet and phones. Needs a few more features and I might change the homepage layout a few times. Tried to steer clear of clutter like most sites now have but it does need a few things added. Will be a work in progress. The extra features that the paid for template has over the free one are numerous but as of now, we are only using a few. Still learning.
Right, anyone got an article to submit? Also can we all try out posting some comments on the site so I can see how it affects the sidebar. Thanks

Whilst I'm building the site and learning the software, could we all try leaving a comment and trying out the site on phones and desktop to see if there are any issues.
