Haven't given this a whole lot of thought but does anyone else on here fancy making motobanzai a motorcycle racing news website as well as a forum? Maybe a mix of serious articles and some made up bullshit for fun. Seen a template that would work well. Or are we all still jaded after the last time we collectively paid for a website? At the very least it would enable press passes for the few on here who attend meetings still. I'd write a few articles myself when I've finished the aprilia. There are a few on here that could turn out a good article or race report. And we have a few photographers as well. Just an idea.

The problem with the 'pro' photography and part of the reason i jacked it in was Palmer circuits required professional insurance and were getting tough on the weekend warriors like me. Msv had already refused me accreditation for 2009 so I couldn't be fucked with it. Even Zoe couldn't pull the right strings.
Not sure if shit is different these days?

Seen a template that would work well for $52. A years domain and web hosting space for £10.90. That's about it really. Plus lots of time to set it all up. Does anyone on here have experience of using WordPress?

Cool. Eddie you collect everyone's £2 and I'll purchase the domain name, server space and the template this weekend and make a start. Try to get it ready for 2019 season start. That's if the majority are up for it.

I didn't buy the domain and hosting last weekend but I'll do it this week seeing as there are a few more who are positive about going forward with this.

Not yet. I keep forgetting about this. I was about to do it last weekend but needed to read up if the deal I was looking at would be ok for the wordpress template. I think it will be fine but I hesitated as they do a deal for wordpress sites. This was a bit more money. I don't think we will need it though but I wanted to check it out first. I'll buy the domain name and stick up a holding page this weekend. I'm pretty sure if the basic package isn't good enough, I can just upgrade it and pay the difference anyway. But I'm sure we won't need it. It's only about £30 difference across the year.
