I've just done a quote for a 225bhp old Audi TT - £30 more than my fucking 75hp i20. Got an urge to buy something I think will become a bit of a future classic, trade in the boring family car and pay a bigger road tax and petrol bill.
Been looking at stuff like Clio 182 cups and Z3s and of course Audi TTs (aluminium body so no rust). I can't believe loads of these fairly quick cars are going for next to nothing now. Should I buy one or just save my money as modern driving is just a big queue anyway?

Why not do all and get a rocket powered estate? Plenty of grunt and bags of space for the family day out.

They are the cheapest Ferrari you can buy, but considered the most practical and one of the most fun to drive on regular roads.

I've promised myself an old Audi TT (2005 convertible) in September. I currently have a two seater convertible anyway but without the poke of the Audi. My missus has a C Max and when ever I use that it feels like an old bus despite being fairly new. My current car is 2003 but still feels taught and drives like a go kart which is fun.

How are you going to get Meeks junior and two BMXs in the back of an Audi TT?

How are you going to get Meeks junior and two BMXs in the back of an Audi TT? The coupe is a four seater! I wrongly assumed they were all 2 seaters so never gave them a thought. On;y the roadster is 2 seats. I wish I had a drive for 3 cars then I'd just get an old Mr2 or mx5.

Absolutely staggering with 450 ft.lb of torque, as much power as a 911 and 45-50 mpg. I agree that these are a really good way to go. May be a problem with the diesel longer term but that should make them even better value.

Wor lass has a car but Ive had a transit size van for the past 20 odd years. Ive just bought a VW T5 transporter and I'm messing around insulating and carpeting the back. Its my first step towards owning a car. I can still get bicycles and three trials bikes in the back. Got it remapped the other week and it now does wheel spins on gravel. The sound proofing makes it perfect for kidnapping.
