Bought an Audi TT. Off to rent hairdresser's chair out on Monday.
Bought it from a rich (well much richer than me) guy with a mint Triumph Stag and a large wad of receipts for some major work done on it. So all belts, brakes, exhausts and balls joints etc are fresh. Hopefully it won't let me down 5 miles from his house when I pick it up on Thursday night.
It's not externally 'mint' but a couple of hundred spent on professional touchup would sort it out. I used to think the TT was gay as a window but after 18 years of increasingly bland car design, it really stands out now IMO. Got to keep it mint and shouldn't really devalue.

A bloke at work has an Audi TT, I think its a 1.6 turbo, anyway he's had it re mapped and got 45 bhp extra, might be worth looking at.

A bloke at work has an Audi TT, I think its a 1.6 turbo, anyway he's had it re mapped and got 45 bhp extra, might be worth looking at. 1.8T. Came in two strengths - 180hp and 225hp. Got the 180. Later roadster versions got FWD and a pissweak 140hp I think. I've got coupe with 2 'seats' in the back. Sadly 4wd means no drifting as it's an 80/20 split to the front. This has got a cold air induction kit on it where the air is draw from nearer the wheel well instead of main engine back and that's it for tuning as such. Maybe I'll give it a small boost remap but I don't want to tire the engine early. This said, I saw some chav video where a bloke had tuned a 1.4 Civic to 420hp with stupid amounts of boost. 2 years later it was still running ok. Pics when I've paid for it and picked up on Thursday.

I hope the TT salves your mid-life crisis Meeks. Metal and plastic can be traded when done with
I don't have the cash to buy a Cortina 1600E so instead, I'm gonna have a crack at the flirty (moans about her husband every time I talk to her) blonde MILF who lives next door.
I know it will all go horribly, HORRIBLY wrong.
but SHE WANTS ME, I KNOW SHE DOES
Bedsits aren't so bad, yeah?

Nice one. How about some pics? If it happens, I'll bear 'banzai in mind. The ejaculation of my penis inside her body will be a priority but.

Well.....got motor, drives great.....gave it good look (again)....suddenly some rust at the top of the front sills where it means the front wing has appeared. FML. Didn't spot that for some reason. Oh well. Sills off ebay and an unbolt and rebolt job should sort that. Hopefully it's mechanically sound since the bloke had spend £1200 on it (got receipts) in the last couple of months. At least the expensive shit is done like cambelt, waterpump, discs and pads, exhaust from cat back. Body works is superficial and a guy we've just got know works for BMW and said he'll get body work done at cost for me. Not selling the i20 yet as it's only cost me £120 at add the TT to my current insurance for a year and if it turns out to be a shed (BMW bloke will give it full once over) I'll just get it MOT'd and sell on and hope the next mug doesn't notice the stuff I didn't notice. Sounds doom and gloom but it's a nice motor overall. If I have to chuck another £500 at sills and bodywork to get it perfect then so be it. Mekon Jr. is getting ready for his racing career.
