Aleix has been open in a recent interview and said that he would hope that if Marc comes back he would "help" Aleix in the title race (more than he might help Bagnaia or Quartararo) which all things considered is probably a normal hope or expectation for him to have.
But its odd, in a race if you rejoin having been lapped (Sergio García style) you are not allowed to be in the pack with the leaders because you are influencing the result, but with the title, theoretically Marc can legitimately come back and take points off Bagnaia and/or Fabio but choose not to if its Aleix...
I'm not saying that he would do that, but I'm not the first person to consider this, Aleix himself having discussed it.
Marc's objective has to be to develop the 2023 bike before anything else and he doesn't need to race to do that.

MM's best result this year was 4th. If he comes back now I cant see him beating any of the top 3 to influence the title race.

I reckon the bike is too much of a piece of shit. Regardless of the arm, no fucker can get it to work despite it being for everyone to able to work it. I reckon they should have a ritual burning of it while the designer immolates himself in the HRC garage due to shame.

I don’t think he’ll podium, great to see him back though. I can't remember MM being off the podium at Aragon, its his best track. Considering he was riding the Honda to 4th, 5th and 6th places with a twisted arm on less favourable circuits he won't settle for less than 3rd. It's not in his mind set to even race if doesn't think he can win. One of us will be wrong though! |

I think Bagnaia will take this one along with another Ducati, maybe Bastianini. Could be a Ducati podium lockout.
