Give it a rest Phil ,conflating general into the gp threads.
Well, we'll see at the end of the season. Maybe it's not a costly call, maybe it is.
Rossi sure could have done with 5 points a couple of times.

'98 was the year I stopped watching F1 and all because of this. Mekon: the discussion of team orders and F1 had made it's way into the thread, so Phil's post is relevant. The Coultard/Hakkinen "agreement" is polar opposite to any suggested team orders in the Ducati camp. Both riders are now in with a shot; what if The Beast wins it by 5 points?

Tucked the front pushing like hell to get 4th from 6th which was realistic. Doing his job. What kind of racer settles for 6th?

M3, IG untouchable. McPhee show some speed, but got duffed up and still problems with brakes. M2, Just skipped though it so can't say much really. MGP MM in the mix of two nasty crashes. The Taka one "looks" like MM is elbowing him off, but Taka was coming in from behind.
Thought Bags had it but Bast inched closer and closer. Good to see KTM improving.

Hodgson probably still remembers when he and Bayliss were booed on the podium after Hodgson let Bayliss through at the end of the 1999 race at Brands Hatch. They skipped over that in the highlights at 14:45, but it was mentioned

Great main event! Bastianini making his intentions very clear despite what his bosses said about him pushing too hard last time. We need more riders like that. His moves are almost always decisive and clean, no messing about.
I kind of feel sorry for Marc, a comment on one of the millions of FB posts summed it up for me. Racing incidents? Yes, they were, but he does seem to be a magnet for racing incidents doesn't he?
I also wonder if maybe he should have backed off and pulled to the side earlier, there was clealry something wrong before the Nakagami incident, still, easy to say with hindsight and from a comfy chair.
I'm sure this isnn't the way he wanted to restart his cappaign!

Moto3, shame the top 3 fucked off. Moto2, great to see Aco top it. Fucking Dicko. MGP, shame about the splitting event so early.
Not the best day.

Moto 3 did go against the predictions with the huge gap from 3rd to 4th.
I thought Oncu was going to get up there and drag the pack, but he failed me.
McPhee rode a good race, even the Spanish commentators mentioned him and that never happens. Probbaly won't be good enough to stay in GPs though, even Masia, 15 places higher than McPhee in the standings) has failed to get a Moto2 ride, so is going to CIP Green Power in Moto3 next year. John seems to be looking at Supersport 600s.
Moto 2 was OK, I like seeing Pedro win. Shame about Dixon, not doing himself many favours by the sounds of it. Aspar gave him a strict directive of stay on it and finish races. Whoops.
And Cal in Moto GP did a fantastic job (forgot to mention that earlier!)

Some of the comments about MM on Youtube videos of the incidents are just ridiculous, he was hit from behind on both occasions and yet some people are blaming him FFS!!!

Imagine if Marquez had rammed FQ. Would have been all Marc's fault for following too closely etc.
I seem to remember it was all Marc's fault when he went up the back of Rossi in 2015.
