I know silly season is over now but there does seem to be some sour grapes coming from Jorge Martin about not getting the factory ride. Not sure what his point is when he had just such a garbage start to the year and The Beast was getting wins. I think he's been making out the bikes aren't equal.

I was wondering if it was just in the Spanish press but obviously not. He seems to be turning into a bit of a gobshite, which is unfortunate given that even his 84 year old team mate seems to be handing him his arse every weekend recently.

Pretty sure Skinner got that ride as he's got the current peekaboo riding style down. Can't think of any other reason given his BSB results. What a strange place the paddock is when it comes to who goes where.

What a strange place the paddock is when it comes to who goes where. I'm pretty sure that Skinner got that ride because he is an amazing talent and his manager is John Hopkins.

Rory Skinner will do well in moto 2. He cut his teeth on Spanish tracks and deserves a crack at world championship level. Plenty of knowledgeable people have seen his potential and maybe have seen more than is visible to Mekon.

Well if he's so good why has he not performed in BSB? He got beaten by Lee Jackson and Moto 2 ain't knocking on his door.

Well if he's so good why has he not performed in BSB? He got beaten by Lee Jackson and Moto 2 ain't knocking on his door. He showed plenty of promise in the Red Bull Rookies (2015 & 2016), and also in the CEV Jnr WC. Afer winnning the British Talent Cup and was overlooked for promotion into Moto3 GP; TBH, I think that he was getting too tall for Moto3 anyway and a route into Moto2 would have been a better option. Skinner has proven pedigree on prototype/production machinery; whilst he didn't set the world alight, he impressed the American Racing Team and the MotoGP paddock as a whole with his wild card rides this year. So yes, he does deserve a ride in Moto2 over a 27 year old who has been riding Superbikes in BSB for 8 years!

Yeah but remember when the knives were out for Redding, who'd already been written off as a Motogp or even world level rider? If he didn't win BSB he was done. That is where we are at. Good job for him that he did pull the rabbit out of the hat.

Not just McPhee that's out of GPs from the Sterilgarda team then... Biaggi has announced that he will not run the team next year so Valencia is the last race for them all.
What's Sasaki doing in 2023?
EDIT: Sasaki -> Intact Liqui Moly Moto 2 in 23.

Rumours that Biaggi is dumping his Moto 3 team to try to take over the RNF Aprilia MotoGP team with Sterilgarda cash.

Rumours that Biaggi is dumping his Moto 3 team to try to take over the RNF Aprilia MotoGP team with Sterilgarda cash. Kind of makes sense; Biaggi does have a long history with Aprilia and he's always in the factory team garage during the MotoGP races.

Also it seems that Dorna and others blame Razali for the departure of Petronas from MotoGP so he's not the most popular guy in the paddock...

Anyone else been reading the rumours that DiGiannantonio might quit after Valencia?
Seems that he's considering throwing in the towel leaving a Ducati free for 2023.
Give it to McPhee and be done with it!

Mooney VR46 have reportedly turned down 2023 spec Ducatis, saying that they would rather have the 2022 factory bikes. This year Bezecchi had a 2021 bike and Marini had a factory spec (at the start of the season) 2022 bike, but instead of starting 2023 with factory spec 2023 bikes for both riders, they will both ride the Lenovo teams 2022 bikes all next year. Uccio said that all they are going to do is paint them and put fresh petrol in the tank!
Expect them to out perform the factory and Pramac teams in the first few races then!
