Burke Shelley, singer and bassist with Budgie died 2 weeks ago. His death slipped under the radar in much the same way that his band did for decades. Despite being an extremely influential hard rock band, they never really seemed to achieve the success they deserved. Saw them a few times in the early 80s but always as a support act or a mid-afternoon festival filler.

Not a good start to 2022 for motorcycle sport.
Northern Talent Cup 2021 winner, Jakub Gurecky, was due to enter the Redbull Rookies Cup this year but has died from head injuries while training in Slovakia at 16 years old.
RIP.
