Must be hefty roof joists Beefmeister.
These Jotas weight a fucking ton.
Loved the proddie racing back then with the Jotas, 900 SS Dukes and Le Mans giving it large

Confession time. Since I last posted about my Pantah project I've very little to update apart from finally getting the brakes bled properly (the front calipers were an absolute cunt) and fidding and faffing. Last weekend i borrowed the work's van and took the bike down to my mate's gaff to get the rear subframe altered to fit the new seat and get a stainless 2 into 1 exhaust fabricated. Bit of a result actually as he's got this guy working for him now who used to make performance exhausts and his tig welding is a thing of beauty. I've never seen such quality, the guy is a true artisan. Hopefully this is going to push the project on. I've also decided on the tank, seat and front mudguard colour. Metallic orange!!! Get in.

At least you've got somewhere Pants, I've not even got round to replacing my SV wheel bearings yet. Literally all I have to do is take wheel out and do a bit of banging and I can't find the time.

Pics? (I mean of the Pantah, not of Mekon doing a bit of banging....) I thought about that and me being a philistine don't remember how to upload photos. Need a techy cunt to explain. No hurry unless you want pics of an empty shed

I bet Masonmart is the sort of bloke that likes a good shed. I reckon Mason's shed is Albert Hall proportions and of course carpeted and temperature controlled for his fleet of rare exotica.

Masonmart made his fortune in one of the stans, might have been Kazak, does that qualify him as an oligarch ? Is he on the list? Just saying.

Project restore Gixxer has started with fairings off. There's one or two makeshift bolts been used but it's generally in decent condition and looks like it's never seen a grotty UK winter. It's way cleaner than the usual shit I have. Some dodgy indicator connections where they've been replaced by flush ones then chopped and replaced again but other than new stator case, fork leg respray, fork rebuilt and Aliexpress fairing panels it won't take much.
May add some chav levers and the rearset positions are stuck as I think steel and aluminium have bonded. Good job I bought some bolt extractors. Oh, I forgot the Yoshi will be going back on after I drill the rivets out, repack and put some new banding on it as it got scraped during the spill. At a stretch I may get the wheels recoated but I think they aren't bad tbh.
SV needs front master cylinder rebuilt and some linear springs and emulators. Maybe. Still thinking about replacing the swing arm bearings and then selling.

Is your tank damaged?
If not, get the one which best matches your tank. When I say best matches I mean in design, the colours won't be an exact match anyway, but at least if the lines of the graphics line up it will look better.
The plastic tank covers like in the second pic are frankly shite, avoid having to use one of those at all costs.

I will be keeping the tank in place. Actually that first scheme was used in 2000 as Suzuki ran the one with red in during 2001. I think both will go with the original tank. The tank just has the yellow stripe on it. I reckon both would work. I may go for the 2000 graphics as I'm a cunt.
