Well I've just watched a gaming channel on YouTube and it looks like chances of Xbox or ps5 are next to zero. Scalpers are using bots to buy them.

Mate, my boy is 16 now and he is a bit of a trainer-fiend. If there are any new trainer releases worth going for it is uber rare to get anything for the exact same reasons as you mention above, the bots make it a nightmare.

Welcome to the future! It was bad enough when bid sniping software was invented.
If you do manage to secure a PS5, if you can film the delivery driver and box opening as you may end up with something other than the PS5 in the box or the delivery driver just stops and then drives off without delivering.
This is the trouble with the home delivery explosion, half the drivers give zero fucks.

When I lived in Asia, there was a launch of a new Asus phone which a lot of geeks were getting excited about on mobile forums.
I wanted one, and manged to be in Hong Kong a few days after the Asian launch and did buy one for the official price, but an American guy on the mobile forum was going crazy that he had to wait for the US launch, or pay "a ransom" to someone who had bought it in Asia at the list price and was selling to the US at a profit.
I politely pointed out to him that the concept of buying something and selling it on to someone prepared to pay more was a basic principle of capitalism, a foundation of the American dream. He wasn't happy with that though..
So at what point does it become unaccceptable?

.. So at what point does it become unaccceptable? Xmas day, when little Timmy opens his Nintendo Switch he doesn't want because that was the only shite left to buy.

There's nothing wrong with that at all, fella because you purchased it yourself legitimately, it just becomes a problem where releases of new items- that are supposed to be limited to one per customer, get swallowed up by profiteers using bots. The fact that they buy multiples of an item that should be limited to just one, goes entirely against the sale parameters laid out by the vendor.

FUCK MY FUCKING FUCK! MY GRAPHICS CARD JUST SHIT ITSELF!
Stuck an old, shit one in and the pc works ok so it's the card that's fucked. Annoying since I've only had it about 4 months and paid £300 for it.

ARSEBISCUITS.
PC prices have gone through the roof. Seems like a PS5 type problem, all the new card launches have fucked up with no supply and all the supplies bought by scalpers. Not paying £800 for a £450 graphics card.
No gaming for me for a while unless I want to actually play my neglected ps4.

Had a bit of a result today (first time in ages). My son decided he didn't need his PC anymore (The one I gave him that was my super PC I spent thousands on building in 2017) so I gave him my spare Lenovo M93 Tiny PC so he at least had something to do college work on and browse the net and collected my old super rig. The little fucker has totally abused it. It was covered in a thick layer of dust and I had to take it apart and use my compressor at my old house to blow out a ton of dust. I've worked on a few computers in my time and even ones that were old work computers that were ten years old never had as much dust and debris in them as this did. Got it home and did a fresh install. Up and running lovely now. When I built it, it was a very high spec for home use. Now it is just adequate but it would still cost me a ton of cash to build something similar even though it's 2.5 years old now. Will play a bit of Doom later. LIAN LI Aluminimum case i7 6700 K GTX 1050 Ti Graphics card Sound Blaster Audigy FX
Windows 10 Pro Asus Z170 PRO GAMING motherboard 16 GB DDR4 240 GB SSD 1 TB Hard Drive Will look at a better Graphics card at some point and maybe another 16 GB of memory.

I know have a RTX3060ti in mine and new case. A decent case with dust filtered fans drops the temp loads, old case didn't even have the false wall for cable routing so was a mess.
Got 128gb SSD for Windows, 2 x 2tb 3.5 drives for the games and spare 160gb 2.5 as a backup. My Assetto Corsa mods got a bit out of control and I've got about 200gb for extra cars and tracks.
Will upload a VR vid I made in a bit.

I was looking something up and I actually built that PC early 2016 not mid 2017. I have a few spare 120 GB SSD drives I got new when they were pennies. But I still have over 70% space on my 1 TB drive and the 240 SSD only has the operating system on it so there is still about 80% free space on that. Been up playing Doom. Off to bed.

My lad mostly plays 'Escape from Tarkov.' On the surface it looks like a normal First Person Shooter, but there's a lot more to it. I reckon that 50% of the unhappiness in his life is due to that game.

Smash his PC up and ask 'Conan, what is best in life?'
Here's my VR edit. Oddly it doesn't looks as good in VR, you kind of half the resolution horizontally per eye if you get me (960 x 1080 per eye) but the sat in the car effect compensates.
The change from dry to wet is really well done
