I was trying to back calculate Johnson's stated 'tens of millions' being jabbed by Easter. I think he made that up which is a bit of a shock. Tens of millions would on a pedantic basis take us to about half of the population and that seems overly ambitious especially when you think it'll be oldest first then NHS staff etc. If he'd have said an expectation exceeding ten million by Easter fair enough. He can't help himself can he?

If he'd have said an expectation exceeding ten million by Easter fair enough. He can't help himself can he? Same as his Brexit deal. Its the cakiest of deals, having it and eating it. Free trade and our own laws. Did anyone tell him what a level playing field means. Of course they did, but he is claiming a massive victory with his deal. 1'16 into the video. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55486081If the EU raises its game in some part of regulations, dunno, pesticides in farming to help protect bees, then we have to follow else tariffs apply. Also, vice versa, if we raise our game, then the EU should follow. If we want to export to the EU, and we do, then we have to follow EU laws and regulations. Serial liar.

Once the fuckwit of our PM had finished in his briefing I switched back. Some other professor type said there was a shortage of the vaccine. No shit, everyone is after it. They planned their figures on the amount ordered, but not delivered. Same as PPE.
A while ago they said everyone over 50 will be offered the normal flu jab free of charge. This will help the pressure on the NHS from the normal flu season. Sounds good, the normal flu season puts pressure on the NHS which we dont need. Guess what, it never happened.
At my last place of work there was a management buzzword bingo phrase of 'managing expectations'. Aim low, then 'over deliver'.

Yeah I'm done with Johnson's waffling and cuntish language use.
Well, my Mrs suggested getting us 'flu-jabbed a few months back as a precaution then two days later the 'we've run out' story broke. A couple of weeks back I got a letter from my GP surgery saying 'we've got a trailer load in, first come first served'. I went up and no surprise that was pretty chaotic. I reckon it was a stunt as I felt something as sharp as a tea bag brush my arm.
It looks like the 'decision' to eke out the time between jabs 1 and 2 is more down to spreading it round further.

We've had Astra Z too.
As before, I don't believe they touched me. Maybe I have some neuropathy going on?

I certainly felt it. Felt about the same as the blood test jab.

Just had my first dose of Astra z this morning. Second dose already booked for July. Was in and out within minutes. I did sit in the car for 15 minutes as advised before driving home. Didn't really want to have it but seeing as my parents went to the trouble of getting it done, I thought I had better. If I'm honest, I just didn't want to pass the virus onto my cat Tiddles. That's the main reason I had it.

Rough night last night. Thought I'd dodged any of the side affects but about 22:00 last night, despite feeling fine all day, I got the shivers bad. Ended up having a fever and feeling like shit. Very little sleep was had but although I feel like I have been run over by a truck this morning, the worst has definitely passed.

I felt better when I woke up but after a few phone calls and doing a bit of laundry, I felt like shit again. Apparently my dad had exactly the same reaction as me after his first dose. He said the second one was similar but less of a fever and only lasted a few hours rather than all night. Defo doing fuck all this weekend.

I heard a strong reaction is the sign of a strong immune system.

I heard a strong reaction is the sign of a strong immune system. It makes no difference from what I've heard. If you actually get CV19, is having virtually no symptoms better than a strong reaction? Older people have less of a reaction than younger people. The day after my jab it felt like I'd drunk a bottle of red wine the day before, slight headache and felt a bit tired. 6 days later I had a rash for 3 days, like stingy nettles, on a few places on my body which lasted 30 minutes each outbreak. Odd that as it wasnt on the arm I had the jab in. I cant see what else it could have been as I'd done the same think for the previous 90 days in lockdown. Then on day 9 I had a small red rash on the injected arm which lasted a few days.
