Its this weekend, triple header of bike racing with Misano & Oulton. I was watching the BBC show Pointless earlier this week. A question was name the country that these F1 tracks are in. One of the circuits was 'Circuito de Barcelona, Catalonia'. Only 52% of the 100 asked got the correct country. So 48% couldn't work it out, really? 6th of 8 rounds, Redding has raced there, I think they have all tested there. Redding needs a big score to keep his title hopes alive. Was hoping Baustista would find some hotlapping consistency but he can't seem to string more than 3 decent laps together then undoes all is good work.
Why are BMW bothering?

I watched MotoGP Q and had WSB on live timing it it was a struggle even with that. Didn't watch the race, but think Chaz had a decent race, slow start as per.
Caught up with WSS and that was a good battle before Locatelli decided to clear off, then the heavens opened, red flagged before the front runners got out on wets. It was 5-10cm deep on the corner at the end of the back straight as the eventual winner Verdoia splashed back to the pits.

Chaz SLOW BURN Davies. He's as bad as full tank Vinales. Just imagine if he could start fast.
Think Redding is getting a resigned to 2nd place feeling.

He qualified 8th. He said recently he couldnt work out why he cant do a flyer, which is a shame as he has the pace towards the end. Rea was doing 1'42 at the start and by the time Davies gets past people the leaders are gone.

How come Folger started last?
Did well really, it's going to be interesting to see how he does tomorrow.
Not sure about Scott, but I'm resigned to seeing him end 2nd in the championship. I just hope he stays put next year.

I think it's all over now barring some cruel disaster. Well earned this year because that Kwak is good but it is far from being the best package on the grid. Without Rea on it, it's a top eight bike.

3 Yamahas in the top 5 of the sprint race. Gerloff had a good race.
Honda having another bad one, looked like AB wasnt expecting that vicious highside, was it an electrical problem?
Rea taking the long game and not chasing a couple of extra points for the win, makes sense. 48 point lead now.
Redding on the harder compound and that not working out for him either.

Honda are cursed this year in all motorsport. Their F1 efforts are shit as well.

I said the same to my boy... everything they touch turns to shit. But he bike is coming good, if the season was longer they'd be looking at wins towards the end I reckon. I was well chuffed for Gerlof till he spilled out that religious crap in the interview. Great ride though, shame Jesus isn't with him more often.... |
