My positive review has to be of some earphones. I realised recently that I was the only backwards twat in my house that still used earphones with a cable, yeah, you know, the ones you physically plug into you phone / tablet like we used to do with Walkmans (Walkmen?)
So being a tight git, there was no way I was going to fork out on top of the range kit at over 100€ a set. A quick Amazon search came up with some well reviewed "Homscam" ones, styled like the Apple bud thingies at 30€. Being even tighter than a ducks arse though, I put them in my basket and clicked "save for later" until I got a message that they had gone down in price to 25€. That's when I struck!
And I have to say that they are far better than they have any right to be for that price, really comfy, good functionality and easily good enough sound quality for listening to Mp3 music, watchin Netflix / MotoGP etc, and good mic quality for calls. Well recommended.

Headphones are one of the few things the Chinese have successfuly copied and downpriced. The KZ brand are good stuff. Xiaomi pistons/hybrids are also really good. Superlux headphones are great, especially their flat monitoring ones. I also got some of the Gear4music in ear monitors for £20 and they are bang on. Currently lost in the house somewhere though.

I use earbuds a lot, particularly on the bike and one advantage with a cable is that they don't go down a drain when they fall out. Also, any bluetooth ones I've looked at only last a couple of hours before needing recharged which is no use. Still need a bit of convincing before I'll splash out.

Can't say that I have, but I did once use a battery that wasn't Yuasa in one of my GSXRs and it didn't last through the first winter... Until Covid I used my bike to go to work every day for over 3 years, winter temperatures down as low as -5º and the Yuasa battery that's in it is over 4 years old has never let me down. During lockdown my bike wasn't started for well over 2 months, started first time on the button. I hear what you're saying about the maths of it lasting only a year, but are you prepared to sit in the freezing rain waiting for the AA / RAC once every year when you're Chinese battery lets you down? Mugs game that is, Yuasa all the way. Aye, keeping my eye on this one. The problem with online reviews is that any cunt can do one.

Being something of a technophobe i resisted bluetooth technology until fairly recently. If i'm honest i hadn't a fucking clue about it and dug my heels in like Canute in his chair thinking it must be some kind of black magic and is just another fad.
Then i took the plunge and drifted along the the sales at Richer Sounds and spoke to them from a knowing fuck all stand point. They are excellent by the way and long story short i bought an Audio Pro speaker for just over a hundred squid.
It's awesome. Really full sound, battery lasts 30 hours and use it tons. I hooked into Amazon prime and am listening to all kinds of stuff. Changed my life. Recommended.

I bought some Xiaomi bluetooth ones as they got good review but they were a pain the arse.
A)They'd frequently go out of sync and one ear who drop pairing and you had to turn off and other turn on in a sequence to get then matched. B)I lost them frequently. C)You had to charge them at some point and it would always be the point you want to use them but forgot to charge them D)The sound quality was shit compared to wired imo. Lacking a clarity, like headphones though a layer of cotton wool. E)THEY FUCKING BROKE LIKE THE CHINESE SHITE THEY ARE!!! F)Maybe pot luck if they fit your ears properly.
My everyday headphones are Klipsch Image Ones over-ear. Had to replace the cable as the eventually it went but they are going strong over 10 years now. Need to get some more ear cushions at some point but they sound awesome for what I paid. I've got fuck loads of headphones actually. I'm like one of those trainer cunts but I buy headphones.

I think there is a wonderful syncronicity you're missing out on. No, mate. I got the whole lumberjack 'bear' vibe. Speaking of which (and not wanting to hijack the thread) but I always remember in one of the old forums, you saying that a bear should be like Jules Ryder on roids, it still makes me laugh to this day.

Better than George at Asda? Who do you think I am? The Sultan of Brunei?

Better than George at Asda? Who do you think I am? The Sultan of Brunei? The Sultan of Broon Eye has a slightly different connotation where I come from...

Here's another bad product. MT Helmets. I think I've moaned about this before but don't buy cheap lids! It's got pac man on which appealed to me greatly. Sadly the visor is shit, fogs, lets in air and is like a kaleidoscope at night. It's also a really loud lid and whistles like fuck when you put your head down into racing positions. What a piece of shit. If only it was made by AGV.

Might feel fine in the shop but unless they install wind tunnels in bike shops you need to test it in the real world and that's not happening.

Yep, I have to admit that I've never bought a cheap lid and never had any trouble with the ones I've had. I've never had a Shoei though, they've always been too narrow for my hideous swede.

Arai is the cheapest helmet I've ever bought. Think I've been through 2 of them in 15 years.
