After applying 3 coats of Ronseal One Coat my fence still looks like a dug's shite and I was inspired to start another thread whining and moaning about how horrendously unfair life is.
But fuck that. There's enough moaning on here. What have you cunts bought that you'd recommend to other cunts?
Every cunt who owns a car and/or bike needs a good tyre inflator. My last one died and I've had plenty of shite ones over the years to know that cheap inflators don't last and generally perform poorly. Also, there's no guarantee that splashing out on a pricey number will get you genuine quality (I'm looking at you Halfords). So I did a bit of online research and chucked £50 at a Ring RTC1000. Only picked it up today and first impressions are very good. The power lead and air hose both coil very neatly into the unit so no wrapping 3m of wire round your hand then trying to stuff it into a compartment that's too small. It comes in a stow bag with latex gloves and spare fuse and hub caps. Feels very sturdy and is super easy to pre-program your desired pressure. Big brass connector screws easily on to the valve. Switch it on and it's noticeably quieter than every other compressor I've ever used but the best bit is it's super rapid. No more pacing up and down for 10 minutes waiting for a 5psi increase.
So, nothing bad to say about it but like everything else, the real test will be to see if I'm still happy with it in a year's time. Some online reviewers complained that the power connector didn't fit in their 12v socket. I didn't have a problem although I wouldn't exactly describe the fit as 'snug'.

Any modern paint stripper is shit. Aldi impact wrenches are shit too. Rated to over 100nm but can barely take wheel nut off a BICYCLE. Lying cunts.
Tbh, if went on about all the shit things I buy it would be a long post. Paints and anything involving a hint of chemicals are now shit. All household goods are made to break now.
The only good thing I've got recently was buying the lowest i9100 processor and cheapest motherboard with cheap ram, added a gtx 1080 and it runs anything, even up to 4k. Computers are about the only thing that still improves.

I bought a Bahco 12 in adjustable spanner (or metric shifter as it was hilariously described by my then workmate) when i was a fitter thirty years ago and it’s still in perfect nick. Always pay for quality when you buy tools no matter how little it gets used.

Always pay for quality when you buy tools no matter how little it gets used. Absolutely. Cheap tools are a waste of money. Pretty much everything Halfords does is absolute garbage and ordinarily I wouldn't give them the steam off my pish but a few years ago I bought a Halfords Advanced socket and spanner set when it was on offer. This has a lifetime guarantee and the tools are very decent for the money. I was on site last week and got a borrow of a Bosch 18v impact driver. Excellent bit of kit. Pished all over my mate's drill which he was, up until then, quite happy with. I fancied one for myself and checked them out online. £130. More than I would have spent but not outrageous. Haud oan. No battery or charger? That will be another £130 sir...

Halfords Advance or professional as it used to be known, are excellent tools. Some of mine are over 25 years old. Been used loads too.

I have a Clarkes set I bought from Machinemart. Still going strong after 20 odd years. Same with their hydraulic jack.
Going to buy some Evaporust soon to tackle a few small rust jobs. Apparently it's good stuff. I will report if it works but it does going by YouTube. Going to chuck brake discs in a tub of it as well as other small bits and pieces.

Nothing tools related, but I just bought a load of new clobber that is uber high quality, some 14oz Indigofera Gunpowder jeans and shirt. It's called gunpowder denim because it's dyed with gunpowder and is therefore super-het. I also got an Ironheart ultra-heavy flannel shirt and I have to say that I was utterly blown away by the quality of all the clothes, they're just a different world compared to any clothing that I have bought in decades.

Do you have a quality axe to go with the shirt?

Do you have a quality axe to go with the shirt? I do indeed, senor, but the two are unrelated.

I think there is a wonderful syncronicity you're missing out on.

Fuck me at those prices I'd want a car lol. My days of spending big money on clothes have long since past.

Emdy used Nitro batteries? I needed a new battery for the 'Blade and the Nitro was £30 compared to £80 for a Yuasa. Ordinarily I'd be highly suspicious of such a massive price differential but the Nitro had plenty of positive comments online so I took a punt. No issues so far but even if I only got a year out of it...

Can't say that I have, but I did once use a battery that wasn't Yuasa in one of my GSXRs and it didn't last through the first winter...
Until Covid I used my bike to go to work every day for over 3 years, winter temperatures down as low as -5º and the Yuasa battery that's in it is over 4 years old has never let me down. During lockdown my bike wasn't started for well over 2 months, started first time on the button.
I hear what you're saying about the maths of it lasting only a year, but are you prepared to sit in the freezing rain waiting for the AA / RAC once every year when you're Chinese battery lets you down? Mugs game that is, Yuasa all the way.
