I don't think Scott is going back to Moto Gp with Ducati honestly. If he wins the title, Ducati will want him to defend it and he'd be wise to do so I reckon. One WSB title doesn't make a career really. If he doesn't win the title this year it may well get harder next year if Honda step up the game as it looks like they will. Scott had a good run in Motogp, didn't make a fool of himself, went on to other things while he could still be successful. Many ex GP riders don't get that chance.
Rea on the other hand doesn't "get to me" like Marc does in Motogp. I know it's the same predictable title favourite year in year out like in Motogp but Rea seems a bit more normal if you know what I mean. Less smarmy than Marc.

I have to say fella, that I have never picked up on that vibe from Marc. Marc's races are never boring either.

Me neither. He seems genuinely excited and enthused by the sport. Rarely throws his toys out the pram. Not my cup of tea but you can't deny he is the biggest talent the sport has ever seen. And Motorcycle racing is a sport with a history of amazing talent.

Marquez's problem is he's so driven purely by wanting to motogp champion. I don't think he's a cunt about it, it's just his life at the moment.

Marc certainly isn't boring. Can't remember him settling for second when he can lunge in for the win. When you saw him go off track at Jerez then storm back through from the back and be on for a podium then going into orbit. That's exciting.

MM is still like a kid in a sweet shop, he genuinely loves what he does and it's his life for now. I don't find him smarmy at all, ruthless yes...but what top racer isn't, even if that's not the image they are projecting?.

Is it true he still lives at home?

Is it true he still lives at home? I think so....probably can’t afford a place of his own what with high property prices 😉

I never said he was boring as a rider, or as a person. Just that his "personality", be it real or contrived just isn't right. Probably in the same way that in the WSB coverage in Spain I don't get hours of interviews with Rea, Redding and Davies, maybe in the UK you don't get the media feed of Marc Marquez that we get here. He just comes across as an irritating person! I know it's not a popular thing to say, but it's just how he comes across to me. Doesn't stop him from being the best rider I've ever seen race. In fact many great riders are dick heads!

We don't get mucho media coverage of Marquez other than MotoGP stuff...so maybe he is a total smarmy cunt after all!!

Comparing SP times to last weekend, top 5 were slightly quicker, apart from Sykes a lot quicker.
Rea -0.093s Rinaldi -0.244s Redding -0.147s Sykes -0.995s Bautista - 0.253s

Rinaldi using the superpole race tyre and running times he did in the superpole race, mid 50s. 5s up on Rea! Will the tyres last?

6 laps to go and Rinaldi's times have dropped off by 0.5s. Eased up or tyres shagged?
