Good WSB race and glad to see Davies up front.
Locatelli is making the rest of the WSS grid look second rate and is turning the class into a boring Moto2 replica. It's not his fault though. Danny Webb is making progress after a few years on the roads. Was there a reason why WSS are running on slicks? Seems odd to me after so may years on "road" tyres!

I wonder what the Lowes twins crash bill is over their careers?

That Greg Haynes in Eurosport is a total bellend. He needs to get Rea's cock out of his mouth. Yeah Rea is on bicycle and big, bad Redding is on a turbo busa. I was thinking the same, he’s got a hard-on for Rea, could do without having to listen to him but no choice as Eurosport weren’t showing it. i thought Rea might get past as Redding was sliding around quite a bit. Great ride by SR though , no mistakes. Also for Davies..more of the same tomorrow hopefully. Slight tangent, was watching F1 qualifying from Spa...what a circuit...shame they don’t race MotoGP or WSB there ...it would be epic.

Great stuff from Redding today. He really feels he has a pint to prove.
Also great to see some fight from Webb.
Anna C proving she is not a one season wonder.

It would be cool if Redding won the series and went straight back into MotoGP with the factory team. A glorious up yours to Rea and his cowardly decision to stay in WSB and bleat about not getting a factory Repsol Honda in MotoGP. I was glad Rea won a title after years of punting around that slow Honda. But let's be honest, he was paid a fortune to ride that Honda and could have gone to another team at any point. Crutchlow has made less money than Rea but has far more respect. He took the shit ride and climbed up through the ranks and became a MotoGP race winner. And if we are being truthful, Crutchlow is a bit of a twat so it's hard to root for the guy.

How long is Redding's contract for? He's plainly got the ability to be called back to motogp.

No idea to be honest. But I do think Ducati are waiting to make a decision on whether to promote Redding, take a punt on Francesco Bagnaia or re-hire Lorenzo.

Choices, choices. What has impressed me about Redding he now seems to be able to take the rough with the smooth a bit better. Dropping down two levels was a bold move but it worked.
If I was re-hiring I'd not employ Lorenzo, I think he's too finicky to make get the Ducati working if it really is out of sorts. Lorenzo started to beat Dovi but he didn't piss on him so if the current Ducati isn't up to much I don't think Lorenzo will make the difference. To some extent if Ducati are back to looking at the riders as the problem rather than the bike then none of the riders they are looking at will be the magic bullet.
As for tomorrow I reckon Rea will take sprint race but then complain about it afterwards.

I can see Rea getting a bit desperate and injuring himself sooner rather than later. Let's be honest, Bautista snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last year. If Redding and Davies both take it to him, he will crack.

Redding? Hmmm. Just about beat his team mate Brookes in BSB to win the title by 5 points. He beat Davies today who started 2 rows back by 0.3s. Return to MotoGP? Now he has matured a bit he might do better. Perhaps they will give him a test. Cant see it myself.

It's all relevant though Phil. I doubt Dovi could come to BSB in 2021 and win the title. If redding wins WSB at his first attempt he will feel invincible. A confident rider is an attractive option. We all know WSB wins are equal to 9th/10th placings in MotoGP. But us British riders mature later. Of the three I'd take Redding if he wins the title this year. But Francesco Bagnaia is the odds on favourite right now.

Redding has been consistently good lately and isn't this round on Chaz's favourite track?

What was Chaz doing back there anyway, he fucked up so he made the work for himself. Last time Redding fucked up and was down during qualifying.

I'd be waiting to see what Bagnaia does when he returns. 7th in the 1st race, q 3rd in the 2nd race and was running a strong 2nd before his engine went pop. Then got injured.
