I'd rather see Petrucci.

The BMW has potential I guess. The one in BSB seems solid and no disrespect but I think it could be a winner if someone like Iddon was on it.
As for the WSB one , I don't know. I'm guessing power isn't the problem for most of these bikes now it's the electronic side.

Last year Rea had the better off Redding, and thats not changed this year. I think the big difference this year at the top of the rankings this year is Toprac has improved. Similar to the MotoGP thread, here is the table of how they are going vs last year for WSBK. Rea and Redding are doing ok, its Toprac/Yamaha who are doing better than last year. Redding is on 100.3% of last year's total. Toprac 162%.

Bautista back to Ducati will be interesting. He's small enough to make proper use of the power, though it seems the others have caught up a fair bit. Fuck knows how he lost that title in 2019 but at one point he looked in a different league. He's looked very ordinary on the Honda.
Where to for Sykes? Birdy time? Pretty sure Brookes will be gone soon.

Laverty with no ride. TBH I can't see who'd want him desperately. He's been patchy at best and hasn't really put a decent season together since 2012. Add to that the fact he seems to a Pedrosa like ability to get injured.
If I was Honda I'd probably go for Sykes over Laverty as Laverty hasn't been on a decent bike or done any consistent running for ages.

Ducati have shot themselves in the foot again, Bautista will do jack. When the V4 first appeared it had a massive power advantage and Bautista weighed nothing, He had his chance and blew it, history won't repeat this time around. Tyres have changed and Smarty reeled in the power advantage, as a package over a whole season and a range of different tracks the Ducati is now third best bike behind the Yamaha and Kawasaki. Redding is actually riding really well right now and most weekends he's destroying golden bollox Rinaldi, Chaz too. Its the Stoner situation all over again.

This is what annoys me about that Greg Haines cocknocker. He just talks about how poor Johnny is on this underpowered Kwak and Redding can just unleash the power of the Ducati whenever. Seems oblivious to the fact the Ducati seems a bit of a cunt.

Whatever the politics of Redding's move next year is nicely lining up to be uber tasty. The Yams looking strong, Toprak being the pick. Kawasaki will hit back and Rea has massive fight in him. Despite the doubting, Ducati will be up there and Bautista has pedigree he's just been done in by the evil Honda. Honda will probably chuck money at the project but do fuck all but slowly develop it. And BMW can honestly become a real force with Redding on it. I believe he's the class rider that that bike has always needed.

I don't think Scott will win a race next year on the BMW.
I don't think anyone will win a race on a BMW next year.
BMW are doing a respectful job and if they stick it out they might start winning soonish, but expecting Scott to do what Sykes, VdMark and Folger have failed to do is a bit much IMHO. He is a good rider for sure, but not that far beyond any of those three on their best days (although the jury is still out on Folger).

He could beat Marquez in moto 2, won bsb at 1st attempt and is the first potential wsb champion on a Ducati since Bayliss. Not shabby.

Sykes was 3rd at Donington 4s off the win. 6th, 6s behind in Aragon. The rest either Sykes or vd Mark have been mostly 12 - 25s behind the winner. Will a BMW rider get a win 2022? Maybe. If I had to bet a fiver I'd want odds of 10/1.
