Nozane has been riding the second Yamaha bike in the Suzuka 8 hours for at least the last two years from memory. I think he has done a few EWC rounds with GMT but I'm not sure.

So Chaz is out of the factory WSB setup and Rinaldi is in for 2021. Unless they are running 3 bikes?

Chaz doesn't deserve the factory bike.

I heard they'd offered Chaz's bike to Rabat as a sweetener to making space for Marini!

I'm hearing Rabat is off to Barni WSB and Avintia are out of MotoGP in 2021 as they just don't have enough budget.

I'd expect possibly more financial problems moving into 2021. Cleary it won't be over by Christmas boys.

I'd imagine everyone is cutting back. Only what I was told but the source is a very well known paddock insider of many years. Surprised Haslam kept the HRC ride in WSB. That's any chance the series had of getting Crutchlow to come and compete gone for 2021. Maybe even HRC is making decisions on riders due to costs?

Back to the days of nearly everyone buying a ride then. You would have thought Crutchlow may have been able to get more sponsorship than Haslam?

I don't think Crutchlow comes with many personal sponsorship deals TBH. Monster and HJC maybe. The sponsor king keeping LCR running was Luccio himself by all accounts, he is a bt of a marketing specialist it seems and pioneered the "variable" sponsorship model with different title sponsors at different rounds depending on market catchment. Smart cookie that one.

I think keeping Haslam was more about cost for reward. They may well think they don't need a Crutchlow level rider to win races next year. Haslam is still fast by WSB terms and will defo cost a fraction of Cals wage demands.

Cal would probably still crash as Baustista anyway. I'd also imagine he wouldn't take it well if Rea and Redding beat him.
