No worse than all the celebs that claimed that they would leave America if Trump won in 2016. Oddly enough they all stayed to bitch about it. Also a bit like all those celebs that said they could take in immigrants......and didn't. Shame on you Lily Allen (whose dad is an UTTER cunt)

Shame on you Lily Allen (whose dad is an UTTER cunt) Don’t forget all those other anti-Brexit loons along with Lilly that said the same, and even went as far as claiming, to back up their anti-racist stance by saying they would take in so-called refugees into their own homes! Nichola Sturgeon being one of them. Total refugees taken in=Zero. Total that have left the UK because of Brexit = as far as I am aware, again fucking zero. Hypocrisy at it’s fucking finest.

Ironic that the people of the UK voting to leave the EU are seen as racist because Illegal immigration was a major factor in the leave campaign, and just in the last week a prominent member of the EU council has about turned and said France should ban all Immigration.
Just seen that the Spanish overseas territory ‘Ceuta’ (You know that place in Morrocco, just across from Gibraltar which Morrocco wants back, but Spain refuses to hand it over) is now being guarded by Spanish armoured vehicles because there are now people from Africa trying to use it as a way of migrating to Europe.
Un-fucking believable.

Thats hilarious. Maybe if he cant get UK citizens to his low paid jobs he needs to raise his wages. I'm certain there are plenty out of work at the moment. Perhaps they like working at Tescos, the place he suggested they go to work last year. His whole setup is a low cost model and that included wages. Put the prices up, pay the staff a decent wage.
I'm happy to help out with his staffing issues, I wont be going to Wetherspoons ever again. I mistakenly had lunch at one last year after lockdown, as they had a beer garden. I didnt realise it had been taken over by not nice but dim Tim. The 'freshly cooked' chicken breast I ordered turned up after 2 minutes, dry as a bone. Dross.

Pay rate www.jdwetherspooncareers.co.uk/pay/staff/18 years of age and over, hourly rate range £8.72 - £8.92 (depending on location and training).Under 18 years of age, hourly rate range £6.30 - £6.30 (depending on location and training).Plus an additional £1 per hour for any work between 12am-6am.There is a job going in Poole! Full time, 28 hours a week (across shifts) £9 an hour. Thats £13,104 a year. Gosh, how do I apply Take home: Earn £13,104 in 2021/2022 and you'll take home £12,575. This means £1,048 in your pocket a month. Over the year you'll pay £105 income tax and £424 in National Insurance.

Like all franchises it depends. Our local Costa is fucking garbage - wrong drinks served, forgot to put your shot in, toast not toasted, charged you wrong, constantly out of stock, can't keep on top of cleaning tables. It's a shambles. By contrast the drive thru with seating near my mother's is bang on and run with military precision.
Some young people are just spoilt cunts these days I'm afraid. I've worked in some form since I was 10 or 11 doing paper rounds and getting paid fuck all. I remember working in Woolworths and getting £2.16 an hour, it used to be busy as fuck so they restocked at night. My 8 hours in Argos on a Saturday wasn't much better either and I worked in Morrisons for a year when I couldn't get into the Uni I wanted that year. It wasn't until I was 24 until I started earning proper money as such.
If you work in Mcdonald's or somewhere I've not a lot of respect as that's a hard job. I couldn't do it.

E-by-gum you had it lucky. 1979, my paper round was about 30 houses, but 3.5 miles long as I lived in the sticks. £3.30 a week. One summer, after doing t' paper round, I cycled 15 miles to a YHA which did outdoor pursuits where I worked as a canoeing instructor. That wasnt well paid either, but enjoyable. At 21 I earned £10 a week to work in the Ardeche for PGL in Spring/Summer 1983 & 84 (brilliant times through), with swimming pool lifeguard in the winter. I was 23 when I got my first proper job. Its funny how I remember the low wages now.
I guess Tim Martin has always exploited the younger end of the wage market, now he has run out of people. I'm wondering if the way he was so vocal about Brexit and younger people generally being in favour of remaining has affected the numbers who would want to work for him.

I don't think the majority will be thinking about whether their employer is brexit or not. I think they just think it looks like too much hard work and dad will just pay for stuff. I used to think my parents were tight cunts as they had decent money I suppose but I never got the Harry Leary Turbo Diamond bike like my mates or the Grandstand Pacman handheld or whatever. I guess it was of some worth as I've not got through life without being massively materialistic and only want things I can actually make use of properly.
