Anyone hoping this is going to happen? Fury vs. Joshua
Not sure if Fury can get past Wilder. I hope so because Wilder is fucking annoying, claiming Brits don't like him because he's black?!?

When I was younger, I was speaking to a bit of a lad during the build up to Bruno v Bugner. He was clear that we wanted Bugner to win because he was white. Some Brits would not want Joshua to win for the same reason.

Fury has more talent than the next top five heavyweights put together. The question is, can he come back and perform at the top level after the best part of 3 years spent boozing and doing coke and then going on a dramatic weight loss over an 11 month period.
I think he can. He is looking good and is in better shape than ever. If Fury was facing Joshua next week I'd bet my house on him still. But Wilder has freaky power and Fury will need to be clever and fast on his feet for the whole fight. I hate the boxing term a punchers chance but in Wilder that is always a possibility.
If Fury is match fit and sharp then he will win this in style. Anything less than that and it is going to be a big ask. Wouldn't surprise me to see Fury knock Wilder out though.

I watched a clip of Wilder doing some pad work and it was nothing short of embarrassing.

I've been watching some of the build up stuff. I hate talking about mind games and I thought Fury might have struggled with Wilder, but in this sense he has rattled him.

How good is Fury's chin? No doubt it will get tested.

I rate Fury in the mandible department. But Wilder has real lights out power. I have a feeling though that Fury can stop Wilder. Wilder is very basic and has terrible footwork. His attributes are decent speed, power and he is very athletic. Skills wise he isn't that good though. Joshua has good basic boxing fundamentals, power and is very fit but he is a little chinny in my opinion which is why they stay away from big hitters. They gambled on Wlad knowing he was old and it nearly bit them. They won't make that mistake again until they are ready to cash out. It's rare to see a heavyweight with good boxing skills such as Fury. Saying that, Usyk could very well end up being the best in the division in the next two years.

I’m no boxing expert but I follow it a bit, I think Wilder will go all guns blazing for the quick knockout....hope Fury can weather the storm and win the fight. I never used to like Fury, he’s been a twat in the past, and I underestimated his boxing skills but I hope he wins this.
Fury v Joshua....hw big would that be?!!

Big. Big enough for Joshua to cash out, get chinned and waffle about being humble.

I never used to like Fury, he’s been a twat in the past, and I underestimated his boxing skills but I hope he wins this. I know what you mean. I'm like that. I was pretty much the only Eubank fan I knew back in the day. I was always a Benn fan too when he fought. Nobody else seemed to get what Eubank brought. He made people interested and put on a show. Fury has some views I can't stand but he cracks me up and is surprisingly quite well spoken. Turning up to a press conference dressed as Batman was proper brilliant.

Such a big weight loss on Fury's part. I never get why some boxers allow themselves to "go to seed" between fights. Putting on a huge amount then having to cut time and again ain't good. Maybe it's the "pleasure" after the "pain" and sacrifice of a training camp.

Those who maintain a decent level of weight outside of competition tend to have longer careers.

Fighters like Hatton pissed me off tbh. They'd look better than I'd ever look if I had no job and someone doing my food and exercise plan but yet went back to shit after every fight. I just found it odd that you could be happy looking like fried shit if you could also look awesome.

Looking forward to the fight, and also the Warrington/Frampton fight in December. Mainly because Warrington is a Leeds fan!

Caught up with some news and footage this morning. The Gypsy King has got Wilder rattled. Never a good thing to get that angry and emotionally invested pre-fight. I might bet on Fury winning via KO rounds 8-12. Having said that I don't want to jinx him. I'm not that bothered about Frampton vs Warrington as I'm not really a fan of either of them. It is a really good fight though and I fancy Warrington to nick it on points. People sleep on Warrington but he is the new Ricky Hatton.
