Good to see Bautista is on it but I was also glad to see that BMW are competitive straight out the box and even Honda looked good for their first test.

Only just clocked that time for some reason. Be funny if Rea gets smoked by the Bautista/Ducati straight out of the box. Kawasaki will just have to find some more cheats downs the back of sofa.

Cheats? It used to be Ducati that everyone said was cheating! I doubt for one second that Kawasaki are cheating; they're just using the rules that are put put in front of them. If there is a loop hole that they can exploit, then fair play to them!
PI has always been a strange circuit, a riders circuit, which throws up anomalous results and doesn't reflect the rest of the season.

What about all their frame hoodwinking that Scott Smart put a stop to? Funny how Sykes went off the boil once Scott Smart cleaned up the town.

Frame hoodwinking? I must've missed something or forgotten about! Was this outside the scope of the rules?

I remember something dodgy going on regarding frames a few years ago but cant remember the details. The point about PI being a one-off is a good one, the Aprilia 2-stroke got pole there.

And Eugene won on the Suzuki there a few years ago then didn't score another podium all year (I think!). That was the example that I was thinking of, plus Gobert on the Bimota SB8R in 2000... but this was more down to the monsoon like weather that weekend than the bike.

I quite fancy Haslam to win a race at Phillip Island.

I quite fancy Haslam to win a race at Phillip Island. It'll not be for the want of trying
