Fuck. Shit. Don't want to sound like an American but have you had a second opinion on this? Pretty conclusive with the scans and symptoms. Did a spinal tap and bunch of blood tests that will confirm. Will also be doing more scan of spine/nerves. Pretty rare to get it so old though There are experimental stem cell treatments, but nothing approved here. Have to do that it Russia or Brazil and costs a lot.

Bloody hell no66 that's a shocker. I can't imagine what you are feeling. I hope you have a good team and can manage it for you. We have a neighbour with it, and you wouldn't know. Medicines have come a long way. All the best.

Sorry to hear that Noss. My ex's dad had it since his 30's and by fuck he fought it. Gym in the garage and working out regularly. Lived until he was 80.
My brother also got it but unfortunately his was extremely aggressive. It does seem to vary in severity quite considerably.
Hopefully it will be mild but it does seem to pay to stay as fit as possible and I do believe that medications are being successfully developed. Stay strong.

Thank for the words!
Its RRMS atm, meaning it should be manageable moving on.
Going to keep at it and lots of excercise and got to eat better.
RRMS, or relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, is a type of multiple sclerosis (MS) that occurs when you have flare-ups (also called relapses or exacerbations) of symptoms followed by periods of partial or complete recovery (remission). Relapses are episodes of new or worsening symptoms.

Bummer Norbs. That’s a shite hand you’ve been dealt. Hopefully it can be controlled with modern medicine and you can be as normal as a normal person.

Had to give in and go on anxiety meds. Tried to be stoic but dealing with the endless shit that home care involves is getting to me. My brother who lives in Australia has just gone on a 4 week trip to Japan when really he needs to see his mother who can barely coordinate her hands to put food in her mouth now. I'm sure he'll turn up with his hand out when it gets to it.
Never really suffered anxiety but it's fucked and I can't imagine these poor cunts who've had it long term. At the moment I feel like a GP rider when they seem Marquez 0.0 on the board.

There's a lot of it about mekon, no shame there. Fair play for raising it. The meds will work.

On Wednesday afternoon, my suffered some form of fit/seizure while at home with my two boys. Walter (youngest) phoned for an ambulance, using my wife's mobile, and Eric (eldest) went to find a neighbour for help. I arrived home shortly after and took over. My wife was unconscious for about 20 minutes and was fairly incoherent for about another 30 minutes when she finally came around... she kept talking abut submarines for some reason?!
Both of the boys stayed at a friend's house for the evening, while I accompanied my wife to the hospital. After spending about 10 hours at Gloucester Royal, she was sent home after they conducted blood tests, ECGs, CT scans, heart rates checks etc and Everything came back normal. She has been feeling fine and appears to be OK.
We are both immensely proud of how our boys handled themselves, by acting calmly and taking appropriate action. Understandably, both of the boys have been pretty shaken by what happened; the youngest these past few days has been fairly anxious and keeps asking me to phone Mummy when we're out, just to make sure that she is alright. The eldest, who is normally a chatter box, has been fairly quiet and withdrawn. I was worried as fuck, but I couldn't show this in front of the kids, which is easier said than done.
The doctors at the hospital could find anything wrong, but they have banned my wife from driving for 4 weeks, just in case there's a relapse. Apparently these things can be a one off and they can be caused by lack of sleep, or not eating enough and drinking enough fluids etc.

There's a lot of it about mekon , no shame there. Fair play for raising it. The meds will work. Since late September I've been suffering from what I think is a re-occurrence of PTSD from last year after my mates fatal bike crash, the therapist told me it could re-occur at any time. It's a constant feeling of light-headedness, like I;m in a bit of a daze, I think it's anxiety but I'm not 100% sure. I sometimes feel disinterested and distracted in general, sometimes feel like crying but can't. Anxiety-Stress-Depression all seem to be linked, it's difficult to diagnose and frustrating for me trying to figure it out.
