What do you reckon this time? What stage does 3 lions gets its lyrical update?
I'd expect they should beat Senegal but who do they potentially face after that? France?

England have a lot of talent and on their day are good enough to win the tournament, but I don't think they will. They will probably come up against France in the quarters.
Maybe next time...."60 years of hurt" is easier to sing ;-)

On the Jeremy Vine they were discussing the football and should Wales supporters (and NI & Scotland) now support England. Someone rang in from Birmingham who does a bit of wheeling and dealing has just sent 10000 Senegal football shirts up to Glasgow to sell.

It would be just England's luck to win the cup in one of the most hated, blood stained and anti-ethical tournaments ever staged.
If they don't win this one, I'll have them down for a win in Myanmar 2034.

Well, i expect with us playing yet another "top class opponent" Southgate will go all safety first and sideways again, he is the Rafa Benitez of international football, by this i mean he will look at his opponents attributes over his own squads strengths. These players play in the most attack minded league in the world week after week and could do it at world level if let off the leash, but he'll squander it with negativity. Frustrating.

Wasn't homosexuality illegal and punishable by imprisonment in the host nation the last time England won the World Cup? Don't recall Gary fucking Lineker spunking on about that 🤔 Anyway, we used to enjoy watching Germany putting you out. This year I'm hoping it's France.

Now don’t be dissing our Gary ( Pundit and Activist), he might be a virtue signalling twat but he took in an asylum seeker…fair play….still waiting on all the other actors and politicians who said they’d do their bit!…cue tumbleweed.

Benny Hill was still considered amusing too. Nazi Germany hosted the Olympic games. Are past mistakes and errors of judgement now fair game to justify modern day attrocities? Have I missed the point? Have I just comapred Benny Hill to Hitler?

Shite day. Battered the wing mirror off a car parked across a zebra crossing and cycle lane earlier though, so feeling better now I've vented my spleen. Carry on.

Back to Soccerball.... www.bbc.com/sport/live/football/63710128I didn't realise this but apparently if part of the ball is overhanging the line then it's still in. I thought the actual skin of the ball had to be touching the line. Congrats to Japan, they've been refreshing to watch.

Aye Japan have taken a couple of major scalps and must now be considered contenders to win the tournament. Ange Postecoglou has brought a few Japanese players to Celtic (including Daizen Maeda) and they've been exciting to watch. Poor result against Costa Rica though so they can't afford any more slip-ups.
The Germans are out. Don't mention the VAR...

The Germans.....most touches in the opposition box, most shots on target, there's summat else too but i've forgotten what it is. But anyways if the ball doesn't go over that line you're out.

Yeah, I think the whole of the ball has to go over the whole of the line.
Well done that Brighton player for keeping it in play so expertly. He became a fan favourite really quickly.
