There seems to be a lot of miss quoting Miss Trust about the energy prices. Its not a cap, its a guarantee that 'typical' household will pay no more than £2,500 for the amount of fuel they 'typically' use.
So whats a typical household? What does a typical household use for fuel, what % of gas/electricity/oil?
The BBC says For a typical household - one that uses 12,000 kWh (kilowatt hours) of gas a year, and 2,900 kWh of electricity a year - it means an annual bill will not rise above £2,500 from October.
My usage is nothing like that ratio. What does Miss Trust think a typical household is? Anybody's guess. Guess its wait and see to find out the details from British Gas to see how it actually affect me. Luckily I wont have to worry about in until next May.
