According to most of the newspapers anyway!
Why do people go to hot countries? Simply to be euthanised? Step of the plane and die?
Tbh, I've fucking had enough past 25c so all this 30+ stuff can fuck off. Yorkshire isnt supposed to be 39c.

Fucks me off. Channel 4 news tonight, HEATWAVE SPECIAL. Give me a break.
Brits have frazzled to a crisp for years in Benidorm. As a Scot who thinks 19 deg is scorching and is a northern hemisphere ginger cunt I'm used to finding shade and wearing 30 + sun screen it will be a few clammy days then business as usual.

Have to admit it makes me wonder what people in the UK think happens in other places.
We haven't had a day that hasn't reached 38º for weeks, most days its over 40º. OK so it is a bit extreme for that to happen for so long, but we have no speed restrictions on the railways, no melted asphalt, no government crisis meetings about it!
The difference is that people know how to deal with it better. As the UK gets hotter the infrastructure will become more adapted and people will learn how to cope.

The UK spends more per mile on roads than Germany but yet builds tarmac yer drive sir type shit that crumbles. If they haven't learnt how to build a road yet they never will. Sometimes I wonder if we were run by Google or Apple if we'd have better roads. Probably.

Oh, we know how to build roads, it's just that we do it using cheap materials and they fall apart. We might spend more on roads, but I bet that's labour costs! Sometimes I wonder if we were run by Google or Apple if we'd have better roads. Probably. but then they'll be able to track every move that you make!

Personally I'm not a fan of these high temps so stay indoors if possible and drink plenty water. But all this end of the world, patronising nonsense that comes out of the various media outlets is just ridiculous. We're in a time when there is so much information available at the press of a Google search, but common sense still goes out the window.

then they'll be able to track every move that you make! I got a tap on the shoulder from Google a couple of weeks ago. It told me how many miles I travelled last month. But then Google broke it down into walking, cycling, driving by car and motorcycling. How the actual fuck can Google tell when I'm on the bike or in the car? Thing is, this is the tip of the fucking iceberg. This is just the stuff they want you to know that they know. I shouldn't even be typing this...

If you're travelling faster than the average speed for that time of in a specific location, then can Google make an assumption on mode of transport?

Car was showing 40C today on drive home from work!....luckily I can park it in an underground car park...the wall of heat when I got out the car was impressive!!. No point opening any house windows, that just makes things worse. Back down to a more manageable 25C tomorrow with the odd thunderstorm, then 20C Thu, Fri.

We're down to "only" 35º today, back up to 37º tomorrow and 40 again for Friday. By the way, remeber these? I only realised after reading this post that I have never seen anyone use these in Spain.

Hopefully nobody has died today. Those fires are fucking mental. We were close to one on the A11 today and counted quite a few near the Thames crossing.
