Moto GP; Surprised at Rossi, as he seems to be too. A.Esp's chance to shine. Good to see JL showing some pace, I hope he can keep it up. Zarco's new lid is confusing me. Moto 2; Can Marquez keep it on the track to take the win? No British riders, sucks. Moto 3; McPhee looked on the boil in FP, not sure what happened in Q? At least there's a KTM on the front row to stop the Honda dominance.

HIS front just doesn't grip. I guess we'll see if Pedrosa romps off or not.

There is an amusing clip of him switching bikes in the pits and tripping over the 2nd bikes starter contraption. Not going well for him so far.

It wasn't that bad. There was plenty of overtaking in each of the positions and it wasn't really put to bed until the last few laps. Vinales and Rossi ended up looking like satellite boys. Well who would have had Dovi down as a contender as we approach half way? Not me. This said ALL the ducatis seem fairly strong now apart from Redding but that's probably because he's too big. Moto2 was pretty boring, Moto3 was fairly good.

??.....good racing i thought. WOnder if Petrucci would've been penalised for his dodgy start? Petrucci is also big for a MGP rider, 1.8m as against 1.84 for Redding. I think he could have a very good remainder of the season if he keeps his head.

Honda were lost last weekend, and Yamaha completely lost this weekend. We have never been further from Burgess's "its 20% bike 80% the rider". This season seems to be much more of a lottery. And Dovi is right there to capitalise and riding better than he's ever done.

Weird how for the last two races Lorenzo has looked so strong and confident for the first handful of laps then just plummets down the field.
How many of the Brits do you reckon will keep, their ride next year. I guess Cal will but unless Scott, Bradley and Lowes are signed on two year deals its not looking good for them.

How many of the Brits do you reckon will keep, their ride next year. I guess Cal will but unless Scott, Bradley and Lowes are signed on two year deals its not looking good for them. For me the tyres are playing far too big a part in races at the minute. Michelin seem to be making it up as they go along. Having said that Honda definately seem better than Yamaha at tracks where's there is little grip. Yamaha seem better at tracks with a lot of grip, Ducati seem to be middle of the road. I can see Dovi being close to the title mainly due to the fact he is always so consistent. Don't think he's in the same class as some of the other but he's consistent as fuck. I think KTM will stick with their riders unless a top level rider becomes available. I can see Smith being moved on at the end of his contract. Wonder if we have already seen the best of Smith? Crutchlow would be a good fit for Aprillia or Suzuki. Lots of experience on different bikes so could really help with development. Crutchlow won't have a problem getting a ride next year. Lowes has looked out of his depth from day one, but I wasn't going to comment too much on him until near the end of the season being a rookie. However circumstances being what they are I think I can comment on him. Firstly that session in qualifying on Saturday was embarrassing from the Aprillia team. My son uses a quote from dodgeball that I thought of at the time, 'jesus christ, it's like watching a bunch of retards fuck a doorknob out there' (no offence meant, just a funny quote). Not the first time Aprillia have had issues, not even thinking about all the problems Espagaro has had to put up with. What doesn't help is that Zarco and Folder are going so well, and so is his teammate. No doubt the GP paddock is a cutthroat place. If they are going to get rid of him I would hope they would give him a chance by giving him the same bike as Espagaro.... If I was Ducati I would offer Rea an '18 bike for next season, replacing Redding in the Pramac team. Two reasons. Firstly it would be interesting to see what Rea could do. Secondly getting Rea out of WSB would virtually guarantee Davies wins WSB for Ducati. Kill two birds with one stone. Isn't going to happen of course but Redding will get the boot when a decent prospect shows himself in Moto2. Redding just hasn't made that next step. I'm a big fan but if I'm being honest I think he's an 8th-15th place GP rider. Nothing wrong with that in itself but he's always going to be at risk of losing his ride. In summary; Crutchlow & Smith in, Redding & Lowes out.

Michelin seem to be making it up as they go along. this is exactly how i see it. most of the field tested at catalunya two weeks before the race so why didn't michelin bring any of the tyres from that test to the race? when you see that nik-o-lie goo-ber on the television. he looks like a bloke who is totally winging it and hopes nobody notices.
