This GT3 lark seems very fragmented. Rather than one world series for GT3 cars there appears to continental championships and one off events.
Interesting to see what happens to him. I don't think he'll be fast enough tbh. Fast enough to be fast but not to win. Maybe the odd podium.

GT3 cars are full of TC, ABS and ESP now. It's why the racing is boring as fuck and endurance based. You don't even need to use the clutch anymore once rolling and most of the GT series run rolling start anyway. It's basically sim racing and oddly enough that's where some of the talent is actually coming from now, kids graduating from playing Assetto Corsa Competitione or Raceroom. A lot of the actual GT racers practice in those or iracing. Even Max Verstappen sim races quite a lot.
A 500hp car sounds a lot but it accelerates slower than a cbr600 and won't have much more top end if any on a track. It will probably seem like slow motion for Rossi.

Braking and corner speed is where cars excel, especially a "heavyweight" GT vehicle; Rossi will all "whoahey" through the corners, then getting on the power he'll be all, "wtf, yawn"... as my nephew once said!

The aero on the GT3 cars is now unreal compared to what it was a couple of decades ago. It's come a long way from the rear spoiler and a front splitter.
What limits bikes isn't just cornering it's also acceleration and braking. There's a point where you can't accelerate harder or brake harder even if you had the grip from the tyres, you loop it back or front. Cars don't have that problem.
My problem with them is I don't think they are challenging to drive. You've literally got 16 year olds coming off sims being put in these things and doing ok. Not saying we should be going back to 1500hp can-am cars and dying in fires but everything's a bit safe now.
