My mother is born of Scottish stock but they fucked off down South for work or whatever so other than being born, so she didn't spend any time in Scotland. A bit like the MacKenzie kids. Got a few things jotted down now. A cat cafe being one of them, the zoo and a place called Camera Obscura? Most of it is coming out of the joint account which is in surplus at the moment so the direct effect on my wallet won't be so bad. May have to get myself a made in China tartan hat or something though. Just realised there's Rallycross on at Knockhill so I'm a bit fucked off we aren't going until Monday as I wouldn't have minded seeing that. Camera Obscura looks the biz. I can advise a brilliant old school camera shop in Morningside if you're interesed. |

Cheers. I have a number of adapters to fix old mountings to my Sony so like a lens browse. Only problem is due to the internet every fucker knows how much stuff is worth and it's hard to find a bargain.
Are there any of those old school second hand shops? I used to love going to Leeds for that sort of thing but they're all shut or just Cash Converters now.

Knockhill's not actually as glamorous as it looks on the telly so you potentially dodged a bullet there.
Again, Camera Obscura's a trip I've never made but it's meant to be excellent.

Spent an entire weekend at Knockhill a few times. It's great when it rains. The way it floods everyone's awnings is a sight to behold.

The new Jonnie Walker Centre on Princes St looks amazing. Diageo are splashing the cash just now and they've pumped almost £200m into that.
Not sure how interesting it will be if you're not into whisky but it might be worth a browse.

There's a tour of the old city which is actually underground and was buried with the plague which is reputed to be amazing. And haunted. It's good this. Really interesting. If it's pissing down, there is a cool little cinema called the dominion. |

Dynamic Earth Science Centre...maybe worth checking out whats on there.
Mary Kings Close is defo worth a visit.
As El Pants mentioned, a few more hills than Amsterdam but it's all walkable...water off a ducks back to a Yorkshire lad.

If you're taking the car then deep sea world in North Queensferry is excellent for kids. In fact, the new Queensferry crossing is worth the trip alone if you're a bridge cunt.
Edinburgh is starting to sound no bad. Might take a visit myself although it'll probably be Leith docks for the hookers and drugs...

Word of warning. Scotland has different covid rules. What i mean is there are actual rules. Compulsive mask wearing in shops, garages, indoor public spaces and public transport. Get a test before travelling. Ignore that cunt Boris Johnson.
