Last 3 races before the showdown starts and its still fairly close at the top. 75 points for a 3 race winner and Iddon in 8th is 66 points down. Qualifying starts in 10 minutes and they have had a wet FP1 & 2. FP3 was on a drying track so dry set up so far done of a handful of laps. 30-40% chance of a shower for the race today.
Edgy stuff.

Irwin in Q2 knocking teammate Byrne down to 10th and out of Q3! Paul Bird just said all of Byrne's wheels weren't balanced by Pirelli when they checked them.

Then Irwin cant go out in Q3 as there is an oil pressure problem with his bike. Its not straightforward this season.

Entertaining day, lots of calls for the racing to be stopped. Surely its a test of skill, and like all the riders who rode their bike home you're in charge of the throttle. Josh Elliot was outstanding, but you had to feel for Rouse.

Yeah, great ride by Josh, overtaking Buchan and Rutter into Stowe was impressive.
I thought Higgins was right to start R1 when he did as the track didnt dry out and full wets lasted the distance. It wasnt until about 4 laps to go that the intermediate shod riders caught up on lap times. Iddon was 6th on an intermediate front and slick rear.
R3 was an odd decision to stop it if it was for a wet track. If you look at Linfoot's and Laverty's lap times, Linfoot's fastest lap was on lap 5 and his last lap was just 1s slower. Laverty's fastest 3 laps were the last 3 laps. It seemed just a case of get 2/3rds done and red flag it.
