www.tsl-timing.com/file/?f=timetables/2021/213504.pdf BENNETTS BRITISH SUPERBIKES in association with PIRELLI
Race three (Pirelli Race of Aces title & trophy awarded to the highest overall points
scorer over the three Bennetts BSB races – in the case of tie, best fastest laps will
apply)Along with the Summer Cup Grand Slam trophy and money they had at the previous 2 rounds, are they trying to give the races more value so riders really go for it rather than settle for a podium credit and enough points to get into the showdown? Weather forecast looks good, so no changes to the running order like at Cadwell, where it turned out the forecast wasn't very accurate. www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/u12dmws7p#?date=2021-09-02Brookes 28 points off a showdown place with events running out, just this one and next to qualify. Brad Smith racing as well.

I'd imagine Brookes will scrape into the top 8. Imagine if this was some massive troll job and then Brookes suddenly finds form and wins.

I wondered if Brookes was just having us on at the start, I think he was one of the more vocal riders saying they were riding their arse off for little when a credit was 3 points for a win. But dont think he would be happy with O'Halloran having such a big lead with the podium credits. Bradley Smith isnt racing this weekend now. spiritmotorcycles.co.uk/2021/09/02/team-statement-bradley-smith/

Well The O Show is famously known for bad luck so it's always possible he gets to the showdown and an Irwin takes him out.
Bradley Smith is bald. Baldies can't compete in motorsport. It's a full head of hair game at the top level.

Well, Hickman, Buchan and ................... Brookes are the top 3. Brookes 0.278s off Hickman. Amazing.

Well it wasn't his fault but it wasn't anyone's fault really at those speeds when your bike packs in.
Bridewell could have won that if he'd not been in 14 th place at one point.
Still think Brookes is trolling.

Jackson 144 Brookes 118, 26 points in it for the last showdown place between those 2. Brookes needs to score 5.2 more points per race (5 left) more than Jackson to get into the showdown, assuming he finishes ahead of Ray, Vickers and Skinner and they dont come into it. Jackson has averaged 11.7 in the last 4 races. For Brookes to get into the showdown he needs podiums and Jackson to DNF or do badly in 1 race. I dont think he will do it. I thought he might have been mucking about at the start, but too far off now. His form has been baffling, I dont think they have brought out a new spec tyre he cant perform with, like Rossi & Luthi suffered with.

Pretty good BSB race and a fantastic SSP600 sprint race; I thoroughly enjoyed that!

Agreed the supersports race was the best race of the day. BSB race was decent and all the fallers and retirees were the usual suspects. Even Iddon has joined the crasher club. I think Brookes has found a piece of his mojo and will podium tomorrow. He needs for his credibility to make the showdown. Funny as fuck watching O'Halloran doing an extra lap then going round waving like he won. He took it well but must have felt like an arse.

Good weekends racing. I don't like the circuit as such but it was this time.
What is up with Ryde and Ray? They missed the international boat and seem trapped in bsb now.

The team put out a statement after the test
This morning we were informed that he is unable to ride this weekend at Snetterton for personal reasons.
Personal reasons? On FB he received a lot of stick for pulling out, but people defended him say they didnt know what the personal reasons were. Could have been a family issue/illness/whatever. If that was him at a MX event, and not Jimmy Sommerville, then thats appalling.
