Well, no rain for the races, it pissed it down today.

on possibly one of the most boring tracks on the calendar. Well, that's convinced me to watch! Race 1 lived up to that billing nicely. Damn that was dull.

The normally diplomatic & positive thinking Paul Denning even said he was glad he didnt have to return again. I've been twice and remember thinking when I got into the grandstand the 2nd time why did I bother returning. You can see a lot of the circuit but there is too much catch fencing and even though I think its possible to walk around the circuit as its an oval you arent near to any of the track. The Saturday format didnt pulling any extra spectators, it looked empty even at T1. I think I returned as its a nice ride through Germany so long as you keep of the autobahns. A return to the 'ring would be good, but unlikely. Oschersleben is another 1 line tight circuit. After watching a few laps I thought it was done and dusted so went out windsurfing. The top 7 stayed static after lap 4. resources.worldsbk.com/files/results/2017/GER/SBK/001/CHT/LapChart.pdf?version=5960282531982464d3d39f529c7db7db

'The top 7 stayed static after lap 4' ,Phil, that about sums it up. I can't help myself, I had it on in the background whilst watching crap on YouTube. I presume Ducati employed Melandri for next season just because of his name. I've said it before, 'stealing a living'.

Pleased to hear Caricasulo is ok, some concussion, that looked another dodgy crash. www.facebook.com/carica64official/Rea proved how difficult it is to overtake at that track, it took him a whole 5 laps to take the lead. Davies took a little longer, but another double. A much better race than R1.

I thought the races were pretty good this weekend, I must be easily pleased!
Tiny crowd from the looks of it. It'd be great if it'd go back to Nurburgring again, I've got some fantastic memories of weekends there.
